Can someone help me out. I got sick of the servers in my "most recent" tab not updating so I went into the GameSettings.ini file and deleted everything after RecentGames= which cleared all out everything in that tab. Well now when I play the servers I play on don't show up. Can anyone help me out. Thanks.

Sales of BFBC2

Analyst says BBC2 may reach 3 million this quarter

Colin Sebastian, the analyst of Lazard Capital Markets, raised sales and profits estimates on Thursday for publisher Electronic Arts. This is because of the stronger than expected sales of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Colin Sebastian said, “We now expect EA to ship 3 million-plus units of Battlefield [Bad Company 2] for the quarter [ending March 31], ahead of our original 2.5 million unit estimate.”

Sebastian also noted that BBC2 reached 230,000 peak concurrent users for online multiplayer, “which bodes well for overall franchise strength and the potential for follow-on sales.”

Recentluy Electronic Arts said that BBC2 sold 2.3 million units.

Sebastian added further, “Based primarily on continuing strength in sell-through of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we are raising our 1Q revenue and [earnings per share] estimates for EA to $850 million and 5 cents, up from $830 million and 4 cents, respectively.”

He also mentioned that the upcoming sports games of EA will be proving the company’s next product catalysts. In April the company is launching World Cup. After that it will also launch Tiger Woods, NCAA Football, FIFA and Madden NFL.

Well its has come time for me to bitch about this game. Not really the game but some of F&$#ing idiots who play it. Sniper, sniper, everyone wants to be a sniper! OMFG why???? You can't win a round when 3/4ths of your team is sitting at the edge of the freaking map sniping. I just got out of a game where atleast 3/4ths of my team were snipers and me and 3 other guys were left to defend the objectives. Needless to say they went though us like we weren't even there. I tried telling guys that we needed medics and assault guys but no one changed. This isn't a COD game, teamwork wins here. God damn that "how not to be a n00b at BC2" video should play each time the game starts up for some of these idiots. *Rant over*

That's a good gun. I believe it is the most powerful assault rifle especially with magnum ammo. Only fires in 2 round bursts though.

the AN-94 is a huge step over the XM8 imo. highest damage assault rifle and very accurate due to its 2-shot firing.

People want to play as a sniper because it is fun. There are some maps that I will always start out as a sniper on. Usually if there are a bunch of other players on my team going sniper I will switch to a different class because too many snipers draws attention and I dont like other snipers around me. But, when there are a lot of snipers on one team and people obviously need to switch to something else the first thing through peoples minds are probably; "meh, Im going to stay a sniper, someone else can switch to a medic". This game is suppose to be played as a team but because of the lack of communication, not many people work as a team and thats how you end up with lots of snipers.

Im was using the XM8 for a while until I unlocked the AUG, it is my new favorite assault rifle. Im working up to the AN-94, I see a lot of people using it and I really want to try it out.

Simple, I enjoy sniping. In every game (UT, TF2, BF2, CoDMW), I always play the sniper class or use a sniper rifle as my main weapon. But trust me, I do understand that this game isn't TDM and there are other aspects to the game. I try my best to contribute to the team and I don't ignore the bigger "objectives" of the game. I've even defended and killed a handful of M60 medics trying to cap the flag/mcom with just my trusty pistol .

Any recommendations on good servers to play on? All of the servers that I play on have no collaboration whatsoever. It's every person for himself!

Also, is it just me or that it's hard to tell who the enemy is? I'm having a hard time telling friend from foe.

Man, I spent close to an 1.5 hour playing today and I just suck. I think I must have killed only 12-15 guys, but got killed like 40-50 times.

Oh, I forgot to ask, how many of you guys are running this game off an SSD? Even on my Intel 40GB SSD, it still take quite a while to load the maps. I think it's like 30 seconds or so. Anyone here complaining about the loading time here? Any suggestions on how to reduce it?

I run it off an 80GB G2, and yes it takes a while, but supposedly that's due to ATI's DX10/11 drivers. When I played with my old 8800gt loading was near instant. What's your video card?

I'll use the AN-94 for long-range defense where I only need to get off a few shots at a time, but for close combat, I prefer the automatic XM8 or M416. The AN-94 is definitely more powerful and more accurate, but that doesn't mean much when an M60 flanks you from 5 feet away. If I know attackers are in close range, I'll spawn with the XM8. I don't find the Aug that inspiring, but I haven't played with it much.

It took me a bit to warm up to the AN-94 because of the 2 burst mode. I usually ended up losing close in battles because I couldn't click fast enough. Now that I can click faster I am much better at it.

The An-94 essentially forces people to shoot the way they're supposed to in this game. Controlled bursts.

Most of the people complaining that they're not dropping people are the ones taking an XM8 and blasting it full auto at someone 30 feet away. It's just not going to work. Now, if you take that XM8 and fire in 3-4 round bursts, you'll drop the guy pretty quickly.

Yes, but you're also probably using an Nvidia Card.

On my 8800gt, maps loaded lightning quick... Often I'd be checking my progression stats, and the games already loaded.

On my ATI 5770, however, the game takes about 3x the time to load over the nvidia card.

Blasting full auto with an assault gun will get you killed quick. If you want something better then a 1:1 ratio, you need to burst, and be accurate. Ive gotten 3 kills with one clip before on an XM....I burst with every gun. I can snipe with an M60, m16, xm8, etc without a problem, by bursting....and get a kill within 3-4 hits.

Correct, I do have a nvidia card, 260GTX 216.
