Don't listen to what pontifex has to say, he's bitter over this game for some reason. The game is much different than BF2 and no there isn't a demo out and there is no talk about one being released. If your a fan of the Battlefield series or just sick of the Call of Duty crap I'd suggest giving it at try.

Got a question... I was out of the country for the last 2 weeks and so was not able to play. I jump on today, download the update(s) and start playing. Almost right away I have a "crash" so to speak. The game paused for a few seconds, then the screen went white. I could still hear everything and I could still play (I could fire and reload) but I could not see anything. Alt-tab did not work so I closed the game. I started again and had a blue screen with a pfn_list corrupt error. I updated my vid drivers to 10.3 and played again. This time I had the white screen problem again...

So, anyone run into this issue and know the fix? The blue screen I'm not worried about as I doubt that had to do with the game. The white screen crash is what worries me.

I know, what a pain in the ass. When I'm a defender I play the engineer class, and when i'm an attacker I play the assault class. It sucks having to set up both classes when I start a new server.

consider this game, imho, a mix between mw2 and bf2. you can actually still d/l the demo of bf2 and there are still servers if you want.

can't say i am not looking forward to bf3, but in the mean time, probably a year or so, this will old me over. plus you can play on medium hardware to boo - e2160@3GHz w/ a 4850 @ 1680x1050 & med settings gives good fps - probably mid 20s as the low and up from there (have yet to get an official # but will when i remember to fire up fraps)

i like fast reload too but i end up picking alternate fire perk because i like having the machine gun on the UAV and also like to use the MG inside tanks for infantry.

Interesting stats. Surprised to see the M60 so high because it doesn't even seem that good to me. I do much better with An-94 + 40mm nades. The high knife kills are just because every class can knife.

M60 right now is bar none the easiest weapon to rack up kills with. i've been whoring it since hearing it is on the nerf list and i've seen my KDR sky rocket. i've easily taken on 4-5 guys by my own in close combat just pointing and holding down the fire button. for range shots, burst shots work very well.

No, Carl Gustav is way better. I went 35 - 3 with it.

Just applies to the pilot I believe.

I asked a similar question before and I think I was told that the same upgrade does not stack but if you have armor upgrade and someone else has the faster reload, that does stack, so you get both.

I've also heard that the upgrade only applies from the driver. no one else's upgrades add to it.

It's in the FAQ. A driver and a passenger with the same vehicle specializations are not additive. Other than the drivers specialization, Armor upgrade and Vehicle Motion Sensor are the only specs that passengers can add to the vehicle.

For tank I think the warhead works best, taking on people with faster warhead I seem to always end up ahead.

For every other weapon I do faster realod.

No matter how much I play I keep sucking balls. I probably have 20 hours of play time and I'm level 8 or something pathetic.

My last game I was 1-14... ugh.

I'm usually decent at shooters but this one just baffles me.

Games feel laggy even when my ping is below 50 which is also weird.

Both pilot and gunner need to have Alt-Fire enabled to use the tracer and Hellfire.

Your processor is close to the tested Phenom II X2 @ 3.0, or a bit below. Your card is a bit below a GTX260, but your CPU will bottleneck the game. You'll want to play in DX9 mode, which requires an edit to the system.ini file. I'd say you're just at the edge of playability, but with deals like $37 at Amazon (today) or $30 direct from EA, it's worth a try. It's an amazing game.
