Ironically, I had one of the best games I played right after that, which for me is a 2:1 k:d ratio. I'm an assault sniper.
I finally picked up this game about 4 days ago
increase your FOV (if you haven't already) unless you really like the default FOV
What value do you guys use? I read about it and played around and 65 seems about right. Yesterday I read some tips on performance and doubled my framerates by disabling bloom and forcing the game to play in dx9. A bit of a graphics loss but much smoother gameplay.
One question about moving the turret inside a tank. In BF2 there was an option to to speed up your mouse sensitivity while in a vehicle but I don't see it in this game. Is it possible?

The cheating in this game is ridiculous. It's like there's waves of it. I can always tell because after maintaining about a 1.3:1 K ratio, all of a sudden for a few days I'll start going 1-27 3-40, etc. Today I somehow got snipered repeatedly from inside a concrete room with no windows exposure, five times. I got CG'd through a building, i.e. someone hit one side of a large building, and it killed me on the other side, even without me seeing the explosion. I was getting sniped by someone with the 870 pump shotgun from all the way across Arica in CQ mode, they got me 13 times in one round. Yes. They killed me with a pump shotgun from about 250 meters, 13 times.
I think I'm all done with this game. The cheating is blatant. It ruins an otherwise fun game for me, and ruins my stats.

Edit: As you noticed this patch didn't release on time and we are currently fixing some crashes on some maps which has been found by QA. Once we have a new release date I'll update this post and probably make more posts about the new release date.

The Balance tweaks are as follows:
Slightly increased the damage of the UZI at long range.
The AKs74u now has more felt recoil when aiming.
The G3, VSS, and all SemiAutomatic rifles now settle slightly faster between shots when aiming.
The PKM, Type 88LMG, G3, An94, and 40mm shotgun have returned to their former glory.
Increased the damage of the MG3 to bring it in line with the rest of the LMGs.
Fixed a bug where the Saiga12 with slugs would do too much damage at long range.
Fixed a bug where the SVU would do too little damage at long range.
Fixed a bug where M95 rounds would not kill armored targets with headshots.
