holy shit.....this is almost unplayable with the mouse sensitivity bug. How are you guys playing? Mouse sensitivity even at 0.5 if you even so much as twitch your view spins around so fast the screen blurs.
for now the easiest fix is:
Just rename your "My Documents\BFBC2\input" folder for now (to like "input backup" or something). The game will automatically recreate that input folder with the default controls if it can't find an "input" folder. You'll have to rebind your controls and increase your mouse speed in-game the normal way.

You folk who play conquest...does it still have the old ticket bleed? I've not touched conquest since launch really. I'm not massively fond of how conquest was basically team deathmatch since the bleed was so insignificant.
I'm defnitely a bigger fan of older battlefield style bleed where generally the team that bled the most lost. You'd need insaine K/D ratios on your team to win against the bleed.
Has anybody encountered a situation where you were killed automatically after killing someone arming the MCOM stations? This player's name was Automator and after I was killed, the text box displayed a message saying "You were automatically killed for killing Automator inside the safe zone" or something like that. It happened twice and both times, I killed him as soon as he armed the MCOM. As far as I know, there is no admin setting to do something like that, so is that a hack?
also, holy cow did they nerf the T88. I have to register 4 or 5 hits on someone in HC before they go down. I'm regularly getting hosed after getting the first 2 or 3 hits on someone in a fire fight. can not WAIT to unlock the M60 so I can move past this thing. The lowered damage also makes the piss poor accuracy of the T more visible.
well, with the new patch you can set different zones on a map where the server will take reactive actions if something happens in said zone. So, for example you can set it up so if a player is within 25 yards of a main base and kills someones in the main, the server (well more accurately the admin tool) will auto kill him/her.
We haven't made use of the plug-in so I don't know where the automator part comes in but thats sorta what it sounds like.
they only lowered the base damage, so its only less effective at close range
the T88 also isn't that inaccurate, its middle of the road at worst if not one of the better ones
The update to the T88 forces it to be more of a support weapon for medics not on the frontlines and was necessary because it infringed on both the PKM and M249's territory.
The M249 is now definitively better for CQC and the increased minimum damage on the PKM has cemented itself as probably one of the most balanced LMGs and 2nd most powerful overall, rivaling the M60. If you're struggling with the T88 you might want to consider falling back to these other LMGs that serve greater purpose now.
Good games last night! It was fun making that comeback and winning on Arica Harbor after being pushed back with no flags and having all those clan guys stacking the other team.
They nerfed the AN-94's damage at distance but its still far an away the most powerful AR. The changes made to hit detection likely means that it actually receives a buff at the same time, what with it being one of the most accurate ARs to begin with. So while it requires more hits at range to bring someone down, more hits are being registered on moving targets...at least that means other ARs have more of a fighting chance but its still greatly lopsided in favor of the AN-94.
IMO its already the easiest AR to control and thus the most accurate, it shouldn't also be the most powerful, but it is.
