holy shit.....this is almost unplayable with the mouse sensitivity bug. How are you guys playing? Mouse sensitivity even at 0.5 if you even so much as twitch your view spins around so fast the screen blurs.

This is the first I have heard about a "mouse sensitivity bug". Try this:

for now the easiest fix is:

Just rename your "My Documents\BFBC2\input" folder for now (to like "input backup" or something). The game will automatically recreate that input folder with the default controls if it can't find an "input" folder. You'll have to rebind your controls and increase your mouse speed in-game the normal way.

If it doesn't help, you can just restore your old settings.

I actually like this new scoring system. In HC conquest which is all I play really, I always try and cap the flags, which may be why I do shitty with my K. I'll die 3 times capping one flag if need be. Score wise it REALLY pays off now with the new patch. I was in the top 3 in scoring for 75% of the games I played tonight.

Is it me, or since this scoring revamp are we now seeing even more people hiding in silly places with a CG, usually not even that far from their respawn, sitting on an ammo pack and spending 5 mins killing an MCOM?

I've only played a few games since the patch but every time I've defended I'm witnessing this. It's rather lame when your team is giving them a battering on defence but these one/two guys can pick off the MCOM from afar and you can generally do sweet FA about it.

It helps to play with a good squad, and if you're playing with KayGee, you're on a good squad.

That being said, who's the new guy in the #1 position on the leaderboard? He's a knife monster. Ah, ha, it is the mysterious bunnyfubbles!!! Looks like we ought to take all his advice from now on!

Good games last night! It was fun making that comeback and winning on Arica Harbor after being pushed back with no flags and having all those clan guys stacking the other team.

You played with KayGee, and YOU got the ace pin? Congratz! :thumbsup:

You folk who play conquest...does it still have the old ticket bleed? I've not touched conquest since launch really. I'm not massively fond of how conquest was basically team deathmatch since the bleed was so insignificant.

I'm defnitely a bigger fan of older battlefield style bleed where generally the team that bled the most lost. You'd need insaine K/D ratios on your team to win against the bleed.

So, it seems your server admin can customize this.

Had a chance to play lastnight.

Hit detection appears to be improved.

Looks like they didn't fix the knife as I couldn't kill guys from behind.

Blackhawk guns are overpowered now. One guy was 28-0 while in the blackhawk but was only 3-3 later then neg kdr in the next round without it.

also, holy cow did they nerf the T88. I have to register 4 or 5 hits on someone in HC before they go down. I'm regularly getting hosed after getting the first 2 or 3 hits on someone in a fire fight. can not WAIT to unlock the M60 so I can move past this thing. The lowered damage also makes the piss poor accuracy of the T more visible.

Has anybody encountered a situation where you were killed automatically after killing someone arming the MCOM stations? This player's name was Automator and after I was killed, the text box displayed a message saying "You were automatically killed for killing Automator inside the safe zone" or something like that. It happened twice and both times, I killed him as soon as he armed the MCOM. As far as I know, there is no admin setting to do something like that, so is that a hack?

well, with the new patch you can set different zones on a map where the server will take reactive actions if something happens in said zone. So, for example you can set it up so if a player is within 25 yards of a main base and kills someones in the main, the server (well more accurately the admin tool) will auto kill him/her.

We haven't made use of the plug-in so I don't know where the automator part comes in but thats sorta what it sounds like.

they only lowered the base damage, so its only less effective at close range

the T88 also isn't that inaccurate, its middle of the road at worst if not one of the better ones

The update to the T88 forces it to be more of a support weapon for medics not on the frontlines and was necessary because it infringed on both the PKM and M249's territory.

The M249 is now definitively better for CQC and the increased minimum damage on the PKM has cemented itself as probably one of the most balanced LMGs and 2nd most powerful overall, rivaling the M60. If you're struggling with the T88 you might want to consider falling back to these other LMGs that serve greater purpose now.

I saw a tweet today about someone testing this functionality in Procon. They probably didn't intend for it to be used in the way you experienced, though.
I'm sure it was primarily implemented to prevent base camping.

Or C4'ing a flag?

Ah, so it's a new feature in the admin tool. I quit that server after the second time; it's hard enough trying to disarm, especially in hardcore mode, that the attackers don't need any additional automated help.

This is so true. I actually enjoy the T88 now because I can actually use it at medium range with great effectiveness.

Every example I've seen of it in documentation was to prevent base camping. Although I guess it doesn't surprise me that it's already being abused.

Ran into my first cheater today. Was fairly obvious...was sniping people from across the map on Atacama Desert with a WW2 1911A1 pistol and the SCAR carbine(iron sights)

Was definitely lame as you couldn't walk anywhere without getting your head popped off. Thankfully an admin showed up rather quick and took him out.

Otherwise fairly annoyed by people with the AN-94. Either everyone is amazing with it or it's overpowered. I haven't unlocked it yet but judging from how many people carry it, it must be good/overpowered??

The changes made to hit detection likely means that it actually receives a buff at the same time, what with it being one of the most accurate ARs to begin with. So while it requires more hits at range to bring someone down, more hits are being registered on moving targets...at least that means other ARs have more of a fighting chance but its still greatly lopsided in favor of the AN-94.

IMO its already the easiest AR to control and thus the most accurate, it shouldn't also be the most powerful, but it is.

IMO its already the easiest AR to control and thus the most accurate, it shouldn't also be the most powerful, but it is.

I finally got the AN-94 unlock but haven't used it much. I've never been a fan of burst only mode rifles but I'll try it again soon. I think the Steyr AUG is highly underrated. I got some good quality time in with that yesterday and love how smooth it is. It's not a good long range rifle, but at medium range you just have to keep it to short bursts. At CQ combat, it's so much fun letting her rip! The XM8 is still my favorite in the assault kit however.
