How often do those sunmotes drop, and im guessing that people wont sell them until their entire melee section has the ring....

sunmotes drop liek hearts of darkness, think nether vortexes just more often and they dont bind

the patterns however never drop and there is very litle trash in sunwell so far

I make abundant use of the global mute in vent for such occasions. If people don't respect the raid leaders position as the only one who should be talking and calling people out, they don't get invited on the next raid.

And spamming meters and e-peen stroking is forbidden outside of private whispers. It never fails that the only time someone is interested in meters is when they are up top, and they want to reset it every 5 minutes when they aren't, or they die instead of stepping out and bandaging because somebody is .1 dps away from overtaking them.

I do keep an eye on myself though. I put out around 1500 hps during periods of steady burst damage. Poor shammys and druids don't know what hit em

Thankfully there is only 2 people which tend to cause issues in my guild and only one of them does it consistently. Neither are what I would consider completely out of line though. It is infrequent enough to the point where it very rarely merits addressing. I would say I get the brunt of it which is a good thing because I am a patient guy usually. The guy who tends to do it more consistently is kinda biased against resto druids because of Arena balance issues so I get a more "attention". For the most part, him and I are just do things differently but we are both effective.

No one spams meters thankfully and while vent nastiness has happened before it has never been way too bad. Personally, I choose to not install any type of meter because I feel it is not a good thing to put much stock into being a resto druid. That's just me though.


Oh, and I accept your hps challenge Pally boy! I have not idea what kinds of numbers I pull but I am pure p0wnage!

I was told exact keystrokes/casts/abilities and their order if configured to do so. One of my friends is an officer and he told me all about how it works.

It's just too much invasion of privacy. I always do what I do for a reason and I sometimes mess up just like everyone else. However, there comes a point where the amount of detailed info that is presented to a raid will lead to finger pointing more so than it will lead to constructive criticism. SW Stats can do the same thing, but at least it doesn't provide a detailed justified reason for why someone may have been lacking a little luster. When someone does something wrong, odds are they are aware of what happened and just need more practice. When that is the case, it is best for the issue to be left alone and to try try again. We have never had issues identifying and resolving problems before Recount so there really is no advantage to using it considering all of the potential nastiness that can come with it. We have those couple members where I am certain will behave in the manner which my GM and I fear. I have no doubt he had these people in mind when making the decision about Recount. These members are great raiders but they lack tact. It's for the best. We can all live just fine with SW Stats.

I'm pretty much going to say he fed you a load of crap and you took it.

Recount and other similar tools use the combat log.
What can be gleaned from a combat log is the order that you do things but not what keys you press etc.

We've been in Sunwell since the opening of 2.4 and we have less than 20 sunmotes.
(We've also had lousy luck on drops on trash in general.)

The zone is set up rather stupidly, as a majority of the trash is before the first boss.
So once you kill the first boss, you have hardly any trash from which to get drops.

That being said, don't expect sunmotes for sale. The amount of trash is just so small compared to BT/Hyjal with hearts. Crafted patterns will eat them up for raiding guilds, I can't see ever having enough.

he has 10 mill total HP
6 min enrage timer
need to average like 27700 raid DPS to kill him at/before the enrage

Actually it's closer to 10.5M which means a bit over 29k dps, though you can still knock off a % or three after the enrage timer.

humm didnt think it needed to be that high, in gonna have to look at our WWS again when i get home see what we had

i think we hit the enrage with 3-4% when we killed him last week, made things interesting
he died after he killed the 2nd tank, 1st one lived for a few secs through some crazy luck and poping all cooldowns

1st attempt "so X casters.... and .... the 3 rogues - you guys are on the strider, try to DPS through the fear bombs"

at that point I stopped sending tells and posting my opinion. thankfully we only did that through 1 fight, but it's so completely frustrating. I'm just thankful that next week we get 2/3 nights in hyjal.

I just have a feeling that they "heard of this 1 guild, that killed vashj this 1 way, with this certain setup" and they are taking it as "thats how you do it"

very frustrating.

I got the ring of lethality, so now I just need the badge ring, badge chest, and trink from heroic magister's terrace.

...yep. tonight is a full night of Vashj, i'll be sure to post the results tomorrow. We still have yet to get 2 reactors down.

what part are you exactly failing at in phase 2?

i recomend you get everyone on bosskillers and watch the video by last resort, some chick basiaially walks through everything in the fight and the video is very good at showing where people shoudl be and all that

imo, its the strat in general. We arent downing the strider fast enough (getting 2 up at the same time). Nagas are fine when we put melee on them. But we are using only 3 groups for the elementals and they are making it to the top.

The strat just gets worse and worse every second we are in P2.

Our leader is odd... he realizes the problem but doesnt fix it for the longterm. "oh, we need to get the strider part down - everyone kill the strider" we wipe. "oh, thats good, we can kill it. now everyone kill the nagas - 2 on strider" we wipe "oh we can kill the nagas" etc. etc. etc. We need to get the strider part down and keep the same # of people on it, then tweak the other parts. Do you know what I mean?

No, it was explained to me properly. I think it was more of a case where I described incorrectly to you guys. I shouldn't have used the term "keystroke" because that is inaccurate. What I meant to say is that it records every ability you use along with the order. Regardless, the results that I described are the same. It doesn't offer any additional support which really makes a large impact over the support that mods like sw stats can offer. Instead, it mostly opens doors for finger pointing nonsense.

Your raid leader is terrible at thinking strategically and considering the whole picture. It's either that or he is making decisions that formulate the strat without knowing all the facts. Most likely though, it's combination of both. The fear bombs happen far too much for any melee class to be even remotely useful. Post links to bosskillers as well as videos on youtube or something. Hopefully that will wake him up.

well good news. Our MT will be leading the raid tonight since the formerly mentioned raid leader will be out tonight. I bet we get 2-3 reactors down tonight. And I'm not trying to be overly critical as I know that this takes a long time to learn and tweak, but you can tell when some strat is just plain stupid imo.
