There really is no way. You may be able to find them on some wow data mining site. I tried every Horde guild listed on WoWWiki on Moon Guard and I couldn't find an undead priest with skull in their name.

Just cruised by the main WoW page and noticed the season 4 changes have been posted. You can pretty much say bye bye to point selling now.

You could start a char on that server/faction and do a /who with the part of the name you know.

That does have a liability in that the person with that char must be online.

Probably not going to try and cut and paste as I'm on a mobile device, but virtually every item now has some rating requirement. The average rating of the group playing vice team rating will be used when determining on whom your opponent will be along with your individual rating compared to team rating will effect how many points you gain per match.

Basically the effect is they put such a drag coefficent in gaining points as a new member to a team (one which gets exponentially higher if all members on the field at the time are buyers) that gone are the quick play a couple matches and collect a couple hundred points.

Also mentioned that the changes mentioned above will go in effect at a patch before the release of S4.

While Season 3 is still going strong, we wanted to announce ahead of time the rating requirements that will be present for arena items once Season 4 begins. We also wanted to give everyone a heads up to some changes that will be in an upcoming patch, altering how points are gained and players are matched in the arena system. The patch with these changes is scheduled to release before the start of Season 4.

First though, the rating requirement changes:

When Season 4 begins, Season 3 items will be reduced in personal and team arena rating requirement to:
Shoulders: 1950
Weapon: 1800
The new Season 4 items will have the below personal and team arena rating requirements:
Shoulders: 2200
Weapon: 2050
Head: 1700
Chest: 1600
Legs: 1550
Gloves: none
Off-hand: none
In addition, some of the Season 4 quality items that will be purchasable with honor will also carry a personal and team arena rating requirement:
Boots: 1700
Ring: 1650
Bracers: 1575
Belt: none
Necklace: none
Trinket: none
The Season 2 items, which will move to the honor system when Season 4 begins, will continue to have no rating requirement.

The changes to the rating requirements for these items reflect the nature of the items, their power, and the relative difficulty that should be had when attempting to obtain them. These items are comparable to those found in the newest 25 person raid zone, Sunwell Plateau, and should therefore also feel very challenging to obtain.

To help ensure that the challenge in obtaining these items stays true to those achieving these ratings, we'll also be implementing new rules with an upcoming patch to curb practices that undermine the core concepts of the arena system.

These rules are as follows:

"If a character?s personal rating is more than 150 points below the team rating, they will earn points based on their personal rating instead of the team rating."

This means that a player cannot join a highly rated team and begin earning points based purely on the pre-established rating of the team before they joined it. They'll need to compete, improve, and gain a personal rating worthy of the points they would receive.

"If the average personal rating of the players queuing for a game is more than 150 points below the team?s rating, the team will be queued against an opponent matching or similar to the average personal rating."

This means that players cannot join a highly rated team and immediately face highly rated opponents, easily and quickly bringing their personal rating up. Instead they'll need to again compete, improve, and earn their rating.

We're excited to see these changes implemented, which will continue to emphasize the strong competitive nature of the arenas, and the challenge in obtaining the highest end rewards available for PvP.

Haha with the help of QuestHelper (telling you EXACTLY what to do and showing you EXACTLY where to go) and the increased XP per quest till 60, it's not as bad anymore. Of course there's also the matter of actually wanting to go through it again.

How will this effect players who are new to a team with a high rating, but are joining with honest intentions? It almost sounds as if they are getting the short end of the stick because of the point buyers.

You're horde too I assume. Why can't you just do a /who skull in-game and it'll show you everyone on at the time.. you're bound to see him on sometime.

EDIT>> Oops already said.

About the arena restrictions... they should've done this so long ago. Everyone's already running around with 400+ res (like both of mine, who never even tried to get above 1550 rating)... I never bought points either.

Anyway, so with the better s4 gear, are we going to see like 600res? What are the top dawgs running around with?

To an extent yes, you'll be getting screwed but to a much lessure degree. If you are just 1 player joining a 3-3 or 5-5 team, your low rating will effect how fast you get points butsince you'll still be playing hi ranked opponents you still get at a decent rate.

What this does totally destroy is having a group of scrubs play the minimum # of matches then the real team the rest to win the points/ratings. As now that scrub group will face another scrub group and only gain points off of their personal ratings.

There could still be limited selling in getting a single person to join a team, but the prices are probably going to go up and it starts to feel like work so how many teams would continue to do so?

Hopefully that also stops team selling which makes people create new teams and you get the fun of facing off against people in full S3 at the 1500 level .

I know almost every alliance quest but it still doesn't make me want to keep leveling. It's boring as all hell =\. Yet I keep doing it.. who knows!

so the QQ on the PVP forums is pretty amazing ATM, from both sides, both the elitest QQers and the terrabad QQers, personally i dont give a fuck, i have not done arena in something like 3 months, i simply dont care about it, the format IMO is a disgrace, comming from someone who ground out rank 14 in old WoW the old system was lightyears better then what it has become

i doubt ill ever do arena again, if it stays this way in WotLK i might as well xfer to a PVE server

It's still fun being able to kill people at times . Although it's so different never having to worry about the opposing faction.

EDIT:

Although with the QQage, I'm not so sure the items that require honor should require an arena rating. They've always intended on mixing the two by including these items in the first place, but now you're required to do Arena to get the PVP gear rewards from battlegrounds. Just feels off. Why shouldn't the opposite be required too?

For the longest time I thought QQ was a symbol for exotic dancers' boobies (how they have strings or whatever tie to their nipples and shake them around in circles).

I'd like to see Blizzard embed WC3 into the game (just the mechanics) and add some RTS to the battlegrounds.

/random thought.

I always thought QQ was an emoticon for for eyes with tears coming out of them.

I really hate the direction Blizzard is taking this game, with their obsession with 'e-sport' and arenas. It wouldn't bother me if it was a small niche in the game, but when the majority of class changes/nerfs/buffs come as a result of classes ineptitude/success in arena, it starts to turn in a direction that I don't care to follow. Not sure how much longer I'll be playing.

Oh and whoever invented that stupid 'QQ' phrase should be castrated.
