Heh, ain't we on the same server?

There were a couple 22/21's out there too. Most of them formed into groups with a hi level escourting so it would take a determined effort to engage them.

One fairly funny player I saw was a holy BEPriest. Wow was that a bad player. Saw her die once to the regular hillsbrad farmer mobs and 2-3 times I helped keep her up when she was oom and almost dead with a mob attacking.

If you're in Outlands, the money will come so quick you won't know what to do with it... just don't spend it on crap like I see a lot of people do... then complain that they have no money for their flying mount at 70 when even after sending tons of 1-2.5g greens to my priest to DE, my huntard still had 1200g at 70 (after buying his epic riding at 64).

thanks for the gear help...
i am kinda bored raiding with my warlock.. but enjoy much more with my priest.. but my guild needs more locks than prsts

hey i am gonna start arena with 2 of my real life frnds.. ones a holy pally other a MS war and me lock.
I was reading up arena junkies and most locks have gone sl/sl build? anyone here who can comment a bit on the group setup.(3v3-lock/pally/war,2v2-lock/pally).
we are not that good geared but still can break into 1700.. our best 2v2 effort was 1850.. but lost badly very quick down to 1500 something in season 2
I am thinking of gettingthe pvp epic neck, rings, belt, boots. and most of all the trinket.
need help which ones to take the more stam /res one or the one with crit?
Also i should get a s3 helm in 2 weeks?
Any locks here can comment wheter you guys take felshroud or dreadweave?
with the opponent teams capped out res, does it matter to stack crit now?
well also 2.4 maybe getting season 4 gear so shud i stack up arena points for it?
Whats the limit with which we can stack up?
thanks for any help

Sounds like hoarding a bunch of ore and then putting it all up at once.

I do mine fairly often but I keep my ore because I need it for various leveling of tradeskills. I also do mine fairly often, but one of the main uses of my mining is getting motes of fire. But I can transmute primal mana to fire, so when I start running out of transmute ideas, I might just go farm mana (which is fairly fast on my mage) and then start doing mana->fire.

Talking about transmutes... Blizzard needs to do something about Arcanite. It's still used by Paladins and Warlocks, but the fact that (1) it uses up our transmute cooldown, which wasn't a huge deal in the past as it was the only transmute that really mattered... (2) it isn't a BC transmute, so we do not get a chance to make a discovery. It's really the first one that's a problem as I have to make 7 arcanite overall, which is also a week of wasted transmutes.

I assume that was Adamantite Ore that you were prospecting since I doubt Fel Iron would make you that much unless you were very lucky to get lots of blue gems out of it (and I mean very lucky.. I've only ever seen on). Where do you tend to go to farm it? I kind of like Nagrand on my warrior when it comes to Adamantite as I tend to also pick up Motes of Air there as well.

We all have different hobbies and things we like to do for fun. Your choices are no different than anyone else's choices. Video games just happen to be a hobby which has hit the spotlight a lot recently and has resulted in the usual increase in criticism by the general public due to that spotlight. In the case of WoW, most people I know remain addicted to their guilds more than the game. The game provides some entertainment, but our guilds have provided us a circle of friends over the internet in addition to the friends we all spend time with during our lives outside of WoW.

A lot of people spend at least $15 a month on their hobbies. Hell, some people spend quite a bit more (paint balling comes to mind but only because I enjoy that sport as well). In the end, the golden rule encompassing everyone's hobby is that you will be best off if you practice moderation. Just remember that most people who play MMOs have plenty of friends, a social life, full time jobs (or full time student), and families with kids (like me). We understand the value of moderation and those who do not will end up getting screwed in life one way or another. Lacking a sense of moderation will fuck you even if video games did not exist. If you need an example, think about how it effects bookworms who do nothing but read by themselves day in and day out. It's much less common these days but it was very popular in the past and the result was the same in the sense of lacking a life outside of your hobby. Times have changed yet they remain quite the same.

My numbers are like this:

Current unbuffed mp5, 450/215
Raid buffed mp5, 562/313

2.4 Unbuffed mp5, 580/275
2.4 buffed, 999/385

So basically, it's a HUGE buff to Priests that are MH/BT geared. If I can find that spreadsheet I'll post the 100% accurate numbers, but I think deleted it. What happens at those gear levels is that 1 spirit starts to become better then 1mp5 in ALL circumstances which is kind of lame for me because that forces me to regem out of all my +healing/mp5 gems. Oh well, I guess it's worth it for the huge buff. From I can tell it's going to be needed with the first few bosses in Sunwell. By the time it comes out my guild will have been farming Illidan for about 4 months, so hopefully we'll have the gear to plow through the place.

I am very interested in this spreadsheet. Particularly if there is one which applies to resto druids. If this exists could someone link me?

however farming SS/TK for tokens for PVP gear makes me LOL

T5 and T6 = S2 gear

However, T6 from Sunwell = S3 gear

On that note, I just got my third T5 token from Void Rever last night. I plan on saving it for the S2 healing shoulders. The funny part is that I will probably never use them for PvP. Instead, I plan to use them for Healing Stam gear in raids lol.

If you have not checked out all of the new heroic badge loot coming out for 2.4 then head over to mmo-champion. There is some neat stuff for many of us.

i dont farm ore as it going out to look for it often, if im out doing something and i see a node i go get it, and yes i prospect feliron also, normally i get 2 blues out of a stack of adamantite and 1 out of fel iron

i think i prospected 50 stacks prob 35 ada and 15 fel iron and came out with 47 gems

Living rubys sell for 70G lol GG im rich

also if im super bored ill fly around zanger for ore, i dont like negrand no real path to take + have to kill ogres in mines to often for nodes

well we downed Fathom-Lord Karathress over the weekend, we did Shaman->hunter->healer->boss. We seem to be downing a new boss every 2 weeks. Last night we did a VR run and I got the last nether which resulted in a LW making me the Belt of Deep Shadows (which gave me the 2 blue sockets i needed to switch my Meta to the 12agi +3% crit dmg bonus). I then got the warp-spring coil to replace my romulo's vial. Hit #1 on the Damage chart as well - and that's with daggers All-in-all a good night.

I'm still sitting on a blue ring (damn you kara). I think I'll be saving my badges for 2.4 gear though instead of trying for the badge boots (have the edgewalker atm). 6-8 weeks and a lot of upgrades for me. Will still prolly go for spiteblade/talon (from tidewalker) and S1 offhand since weapons seem a bit pricey in 2.4.

So next up is Leotheras the Blind. How is that fight?

A pain. Read the strat from bosskillers.com and then combine that knowledge with my post here. The biggest thing to note is that survival is the key. It is not a DPS race. You will have a lot of problems with your DPS pulling agro after the agro wipes instead of them being patient and letting the tank pick up Leo again. Also, make sure you got a really good FR Warlock tank.

A few tips:

1. A spit fire totem strategically placed is a great way to force Leo to run a certain direction after a whirlwind ends (agro wipe). The tank can position himself in line with the totem and pick up Leo that way.

2. Avoid whirlwinds at all costs. Your entire raid needs to be alive during the learning curve here in order to survive the 15% phase. This means melee needs to get the hell out of dodge before the whirlwind timer hits and ranged should run back too. If you do not have your entire raid using some sort of bossmods (We use deadly bossmods) then now is a good time to get it.

3. Tell DPS that the time to burn Leo down is during his demon phase much more than his Elf phase. DPSing during a whirlwind is retarded and not worth it. Remember...survival.

4. Once 15% hits, you will want 2 healers assigned to keep your warlock tank alive while the rest of the healers spam the hell out of the raid. This phase is the DPS race phase because survival is damn near impossible. Everyone needs to dps the hell out of the elf during this phase even during Whirlwinds. The exception is my #5 below.

5. A lot of raids have trouble living long enough during the 15% to kill him at first. The major key which pushed my guild over this hump was to have the raid avoid the first whirlwind during the 15% like they normally do while the remaining whirlwinds are not avoided as much in order to kill him as fast as possible. This method balances survival as well as maximizing your raid's DPS. Have all DPS save cooldowns and trinkets for after this first whirlwind.

Thank's for the advice Xavier, I'll relay this info to my raid leaders. Is this the hardest SSC fight, besides Vashj?

Eh...that is arguable. It really depends on the strengths and weaknesses of your guild. For my guild, this guy was the hardest besides Vashj.

well so far, lurker was the hardest to beat. we moved to SSC from gruul and didnt have the resists for hydross, lots of member changing, raid leader switch since main raid leader left the guild (moved in RL and times didnt work). Took us about 2 months from when we started to down lurker.

Then started moving to a new boss down every 2 weeks. Lurker -> VR -> hydross -> Tidewalker -> Karathress.

Our biggest problem now is a poor healer turn-out. Only applications we are taking are resto shaman, resto druid, holy pally, and holy priest.

(fixed "resists for lurker" to "resists for hydross")

Hi all. A little update on my situation.

I joined a raid guild that's in Kara right now. My warlock is my current main, so that's what I raid with. I've done Kara plenty before, but I was a healer and getting to DPS is a nice change. Do you guys have any tips on how to recruit so we can do 25 mans? That seems to be the biggest hurdle (and is why my last guild on my Alliance character broke up). We can clear Kara just fine. Most of us run heroics daily as well. We can clear pretty much any heroic in an hour (probably not impressive, but this is the first guild I've been in that's committed to such things). We're wiping out Kara tonight and then working on ZA tomorrow, but that's about as much as we can do without about 10 more people.

This was a major problem for my guild. In the end, we decided to merge with another guild that seemed compatible with ours and were at the same level of progression. It was a tough choice to make and not the most ideal considering our strict recruiting efforts, but when push came to shove we wanted to do 25 mans and recruiting one by one just wasn't working due to the availability of quality unguilded players on my server at the time.

Yeah this is what I fear. A lot of our guild is just flat out GOOD. Our MT is a prot paladin that I met back at about 62 and he's godly (and I get to spam Seed of Corruption a lot with him ). The guild was also surprised at how competent my rogue friend and myself are. I don't think it'll be easy to get quality players that aren't already guilded.

Getting quality members is not too hard. Getting a bunch of them at the rate which your guild needs them right now is extremely tough. Especially when you consider the turn around time for new members. By joining forces with another guild, you at least know that you are getting a bunch of members that plan to stay and are seasoned.

My main word of caution should anyone choose to do this is that both guilds need be accepting of the newly combined guild's officers and/or rules. Preferably, you will want to combine with a guild whose rules and unwritten policies are pretty much the same as yours already. That and you will want to pick one whose goals are the same. In my guild's case, we wanted a guild which used a loot council and were casual yet very progressive. You will also want to test the waters by picking a few nights of raiding a 25 man with the other guild to see if you are compatible.

It the end, it really isn't all that bad if you choose the right guild. It worked well for us. It didn't take long at all before the general feeling of the guild was as if we were never separated in the past.
