No, daggers are still not as good as swords. This didn't do anything for a combat dagger build, actually. It's more of a buff to mutilate.

I like it... but I hated having (to try) to stack so much damn crit just be effective. Assassination builds rely on crit (since you have Seal Fate) yet Mutilate offered poor crit compared to backstab... unless you had some hefty gear. I think I should just be Sub on my night elf rogue as I am only mutilate for the slight advantage of it being decent at PVE and decent at PVP. But sub can give me a bit more of that I believe. As long as I've got 5/5 MoD, I'm happy . Nothing I hate worse on my undead combat rogue than being seen in PVP from a mile away!

Ok, I need some solid info and the best sources are blocked here at work. What I want to know is whether or not the lifebloom nerf in 2.4 currently applies to just the bloom (final bit of burst healing once the spell fades) or if it also applies to the ticks. There is some speculation going on right now within my guild and I do not have my char copied on the PTR to find out...not to mention I am at work and can't do that right now anyways.

Also, for those who are interested, the reduction in healing coefficient for lifebloom appears to be about an 8% reduction.

Oh and I finally got my Paladin and Warlock to 60, so I guess I might continue to keep working on the plaguelands so I at least finish them. I might skip the whole Everlook and Silithus "experience" which means I won't go in at 62... oh well. I have a decent amount left to do in the plaguelands right now... pretty much the latter half of Western and Eastern. Mostly:

2 Cauldrons (Writhing Haunt and Gharron's Withering)
1 Cauldron Sub-Quest Line (Writhing Haunt Druid)
Battle of Darrowshire Quest Line (Starting at Aunt Marlene)

Fordring Quest Line (2/3 Complete in Initial requirements... finishing Demon Dogs).

I plan on finishing as much in old az as I can before heading to outlands. Since I left befind my 10000k in gold/mats on the old server I'm starting from nothing here and I think having more unfinished quests in outlands at 70 will help to get the gold supply up.

For those curious about the new leveling times, I'm at 2-5 played at just under L29. At that rate I'll hit 60 at about 4-8 played. Until this last weekend I didn't use any appreciable rest (now I'm shelving him mon-fri to get some rest xp), still taking time to level up some professions and leaving him logged on while stopping to eat and stuff.

I just rolled a new warrior on Hakkar, and at 1 Day, 21 Hrs, I'm level 32. That's with a few instances thrown in there as well. Definitely much more xp/quest now. BTW, I have been leveling arms and leveling with a protection specced pally along the way.

it does, my quick scan of the wow forums shows that people are claiming about a 10% nerf in ticks

Ya, this is really the first horde character I've seriously leveled. The quest and mob kill amounts are so good now that if I was able to fo the forest-westfall-redridge-etc... Route for the tenth time the leveling rate would probably be staggering. Since being on this server I've seen about half.a dozen guilds with raid times I very much like, so I'd still like more xp to be given so I could get working on being a 70 already.

Are these supposed to be T5/6 equivalent? I can't determine which of the new dps cloth is better than Frozen Shadoweave and Kara gear. I wish there were something like shadowpanther.net for warlocks where they basically math it out for you. That site tells me easily that the new belt is significantly better (+44aep) than the Kara belt.

Also, I'm reading he will be available at "phase 3 of the dailies for Sunwell". Any clarification on the phases? Will each of us need to do them to see these from the vendor?

if i coudl see wowhead at work id tell you however i know the chest that requires a sunmote is better then FSW chest, T4 is actually better then the FSW shoulders, i dont recall what the new badge boots are but the FSW ones many people use up till t6 and som enever replace them

Dang, that stuff is kinda expensive. 150 badges for the healing mace. That's around 6 full Kara runs... so I guess it's not too bad.

Anyway I did a quickie comparison with my current kara-level / FSW gear... here's what I came up with:
- all gem slots figure to be +8hit

- item: badges req'd: delta from old gear
ring: 60: +8sta, +2int, +28hit
chest: 100: +4sta, +15int, +33spi, +21hit, -11dmg
pants: 100: -5sta, -4int, +30spi, +17hit, +13dmg
boots: 75: +17sta, +17int, +23spi, +9hit, -10dmg
gloves: 75: +8cri, +11dmg
dagger: 150: (blade of wiz/orb eater) +42sta, +28int, +88dmg OR (S1 staff) +12sta, -7int, -21hit, -36cri, +99dmg

1) For the new dagger replacement, would you give up 21hit (s1 staff) to get the new dagger, or even use the MH/OH combo in the first place instead of the staff? +88 or 98dmg sounds tasty.
2) ring definitely looks like the best bang for the buck

My problem is that my rogue is my main and I'd like to keep him on top of the dps meter so I will not have a lot of time for warlock badges.

Well, I believe spell hit's equivalence to damage is only 1.7:1 or something like that. Crit is lower than a 1:1 ratio (something like .7:1). So even with the lower hit and lower crit, the fact that you gain two times more damage than the ratio suggests, you're good. Especially if you can still hit cap anyway.

i wouldent put +8 hit in everything much better to go with 4hit/5damage or straight up 9 damage if near the hit cap

if you have spellstrike which you should as a tailor you wont be hurting that bad on hit it was relativily easy to cat (202) for a lock before stepping foot in kara its even easier now

if you get an arena wep get the 1 hander and then the orb, staffs are useless more damage from a 1H+offhand, if you can gimp out arena you can get the S2 dagger which has +hit, loose 10 games a week from now till xpac and you will have it for no effort at all

looking over that id definitlu use the badge chest over the FSW chest, hell thats almost as good as the Tier 5 chest which drops form Kael,(http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=30214) actually it has more hit and damage, less sockets, the boots are nice as well unless you are hit caped they are better then FSW, FSW are better if you can put 2x 9 or 12 damage gems in them and still be hit capped. if you dont care about crit the new badge legs are better then spellstrike (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=34918 vs (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=24262 also better then 7th circle because of stats (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=30734) again if you dont want crit, i like crit tho aff locks dont need it as much as damage

this thing http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=34895 has as much damage as weps from BT and Hyjal, and the S3 damage dagger, lacks hit or crit but holy fuck i cant beleive they are gonna let peopel have that for badges its only slightly worse then (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=30910 from archimonde and (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=32237 from HWL Naj and the S3 dagger (http://www.wowdb.com/item.aspx?id=33763
