I am really not experienced enough with PvP to debate on AV balance that much, but in regards to this part I would say that real issue is both of them are much too easy rather than a question of balance. It's free honor for 30 seconds of your time at most. I don't think either should be terribly difficult either but still...

5 Pieces. Require honored with Honor Hold (or Thrallmar depending on faction), Keepers of Time, Lower City, Sha'tar and Cenarion Expedition (one faction per specific piece). They have the same stats as the old blues that were replaced with S1 gear and have the same looks as DS3.

That's very interesting for an about to be 70. Only honored isn't bad as I think I'm already there with 3 of those 5 factions.

The only hard one is Sha'tar, because they really don't have quests associated with them. You probably do not have Keepers of Time either, because you pretty much easily get honored (and almost revered) when you finish the Black Morass quest line (last one gives 10,000 reputation). Sha'tar can be easy if you hand in lots of Fel Armaments or Arcane Tomes. Also, there are quests in SMV and NS that give Sha'tar reputation. The one Consortium guy in Area 52 starts a quest line that results in Sha'tar reputation (and the Arcatraz key).

Yes, that is accurate. My point is that the damage has already been done. They already have their epics so unless Blizz can somehow distinguish those who have cheated vs those who have not and then remove the epics from the cheaters then you are going to be at a disadvantage in Season 4 regardless. I wouldn't let it bother you too much though. If you are skilled enough and have adequate enough gear then you should still beat these people most of the time. I imagine most of them are not what one would consider experts at PvP which plays a part on why they cheated instead of doing it the legit way.

Skill > Gear....to a point

We all know Blizzard would never take items away from someone though

i have 5 70s and ive never dont that Battle of the Crimson Watch quest line on any of them lol

no one seems to ever do it

Holy snap! Handing those in has been giving me dual rep? I didn't even notice. That's awesome. And I just forgot about that other quest chain

Yeah, it won't list Sha'tar reputation in your combat log. This is similar to how it will not list Gnomeregan Exiles in your log if you gain Ironforge reputation. You actually gain 10% of the reputation for all factions in that alliance if you gain it with one. So 100 with Ironforge turns into 10 for Darnassus, Exodar, Stormwind and Gnomeregan Exiles. You'll see this if you're exalted with a faction and you do something that is supposed to provide rep with them. Like I get Gnomeregan Exiles rep on my Shaman all the time, because he's maxed out with everyone else.

wow i played aliance for like 2 years and my rogue isnt even exaulted with Darn and hes a NE LOL

I understand. Variety is nice. I really like Sha'tar more than most because NS has great places to farm both Tomes and Armaments. Spending time doing that in between waiting to go on instance runs will earn some really quick rep.

Neither is mine, but all of my newer characters are exalted with Darnassus. Well, I know my Paladin is and I think my Warlock almost is. My Draenei was exalted with almost all factions before he even hit 60 :Q! Blizzard did make a change where reputation is no longer penalized depending on quest difficulty.

My playtime has been very limited lately - only getting about 1-2 hours late at night for 3 nights a week. I used the best of it by pugging heroic Mech and getting 4 badges.

I'm looking forward to the new PvP blues from rep vendors though, they'll give me a reason to play my super gimp Rogue again.

The warrior, even in full S3, has a hard time countering our CCs, killing us, and chasing us down while we chase the druid. So this game would last a good solid 7-10 minutes. He couldn't put enough damage on us until later in the game when our bandage debuffs caught up with the damage done by the warrior.

If we take the warrior first, he would put on a shield and one hander and start tanking me and casting spell reflect whenever its up. We can't poly/blind the druid long enough to take out the warrior. So he'll get heals and either my partner or I will get cycloned, lessen our DPS even more.

Am I at the maximum achievable rating for my team makeup? It's druid+warrior//SL/SL locks that are keeping us from going any higher past 2.2k.

CC'ing the war while you down the druid is the right strat. I'm running high rated rog/rog. And there definitely is nothing more frustrating than what seems to be like 90% of your stuns being resisted in near every match, especially when it's so crucial for them to land.

Just be thankful that druid survivability goes down today and you may find breaking into 2200 a whole lot easier now. Resort to queue dodging otherwise

I got lucky. The only thing I really need is the healing ring which is 60 badges I believe. Everything else is either on par with my current gear or is barely an upgrade which would soon be replaced by MH/BT gear anyways. I need to take a closer look at the boomkin gear though. It is not quite as necessary but there are probably some upgrades. I know that caster dagger will be the best dmg weapon I will get my hands on before WotLK.

anybody else seeing bugs from the patch? everytime i go into any of the BG's my monitor goes to powersaving mode. I have to alt+tab to get to my desktop and exit the game and re-log...

very annoying.
