ATI users have an equivalent tweak with the flip queue size option. I haven't heard about this 1fps drop that you are talking about. There is a framerate drop issue with ATI cards and particle effects when AA is enabled, but in this game most people with a high end card would be using HDR anyway so it's not too big of a deal. While a patch is inevitable, unfortunately right now we have no idea how long it is going to take before it is released. But right now I am going to have to recommend the X1900XT for this game, as pretty much every user report has placed it ahead of the 7900 series in terms of performance.Originally posted by: nib95
Nvidia cards actually perform better/equall with just a few tweaks.
Most notably the coolbits one where you go to Advanced direct3d settings and change the numerical value from 3 to 0.
This can give anywhere from 10 to double fps.
Aso, it is important to note that ATI's latest drivers currently have an issue with Oblivion wherby certain levels can drop the fps to sometimes even 1fps!
In other words, the game is so glitchy that no ones can know for sure yet.
Wait till there is a patch out.

What the hell are you smoking nib? ATi drivers have no issue with Oblivion, they work perfectly fine. And nVidia cards perform better/equal w/a few tweaks? LOL! Bit-tech results disagree with you unless by "tweaks" you mean turning off grass shadows and using standard AF just to compete.

Xbox 360. You can't get better performance for less then $400.
The game looks best w/ HDR enabled, imho.Originally posted by: CaiNaM

i disagree.. hdr is a novelty. it's nice in some things, but the problem is the game looks ass with no AA.
