The Best Display Setting?

Hi!
I changed my display seeting from 16bit High Color to 32bit True Color.
I was told the system would be slowed down by the change.

Q1. How much does the change effect on my system? Significantly?
Q2. What setting would you recommend for a notenbook with 13.3 TFT LCD whch supports 1024x768?

Unless you have one badazz notbook it should be easy to see the slowdown.32 bit isn't necessary....use your eyes to judge your resolution.
I run mine at 800 600...but my sight is poor....

I have a Voodoo 3500 tv and use the 32 bit setting in Windows.. i normally run at 1024x768 or 11??x8?? (cant remember the exact numbers) and do not notice any real differance. There may be a slight delay when the screen redraws a large photo, but otherwise its doesnt effect performance. As long as the Hardware Acceleration is topped off, most newer vid cards will take it in stride.
