I have a samsung 959NF. It works great @ up 2 1280*1024 for me. It's pretty sharp at 1600*1200 as well but I want my eyes to work just a li'l bit longer so I am at 1280*1024.

What I like best about this monitor is the colors. I used a very crappy non trinitron crt before and the colors are so much brighter on this one.. I luv them.

I have a IBM P260 Trintron. Its nice. The only problem is that it takes a lot of AMPs (Current) and when my A/C is running, the screen shakes like crazy (so i can either have AC on or play games).

Many are waiting for the 16ms or less response time from a panel this size....... and remain waiting.

Does the response time LCD version of refresh rate for CRTs? cuz 25ms ~ 40Hz (~40FPS) while 16ms ~ 62Hz (~62FPS) max. For gaming 25ms would be two low while 16ms would be adequate. while presumably 10ms would be awesome!

I picked up a 22" Mitsubushi Diamond Pro 2060u last year for a good deal. It looks outstanding. Check around for closeouts or office resales. It's not like CRT monitor technology changed much in the past few years. You should be able to find a killer gaming monitor.

Akaz - Pick up a power line conditioner and it will eliminate that problem. Also great for running your box as it provides the psu nice steady power, especially nice if you oc. I got a small Tripp Lite for just over $100 a couple years back when my 19" Viewsonic was doing the exact same thing at my old house.

I have approx. around $300 to spend. I was looking to get the 900nf by Samsung but they stopped making it or something. I'm trying to get a g0dly system for the Doom 3 when it comes out.

300 is what the e440 costs, and it is an extremely good trinitron, i love it.

I am looking for a flat panal monitor not a CRT. That is why it is so hard for me to find the monitor with the specs. that I want. It would be an easy choice if I wanted a bulky tube. But I need something that is light and small so that I can have it down here in the desert.
