Here is a pic of one from Central Grocery, home of the "original Muffaletta". Lots of great places to good a good muffuletta in N'awlins, hell lots of outstanding food period, but Central Grocery's muffaletta is still one of my favorite places to grab a bite.

That olive salad really makes the sammich, imo. Great tangy/acid/salt/olive flavor and nice crunch. I'll just put it on some lightly toasted bread and eat that.
