The BEST Mobo for this..

I am planning to build a system that will support AMD Thuderbird (1.0-1.4 GHz OC'ed to 1.6 GHz). What would be the best choice for a mobo? Mobo must have the following support.

1) DDR RAM
2) UATA 100
3) No integrated Graphics or Audio needed

Mobo must have great performance and stability...
Any suggestions?

People around here seem to love the Epox 8k7a. AMD 760 chipset, DDR and UDMA100 support.

Great performance and stability? With ocing features? Abit KG7-RAID, has on-board RAID controller, plus ATA/100 controller, and no sound or Video on-board. It's one of the most highest performing 760 boards our there, plus it's as stable as a rock, and has loads of ocing features via SoftMenu III. It is a tad expensive though, like $200. There is a cheaper version called KG7 Lite that has only 2 DIMM's vs. 4 on KG7 and KG7-RAID and no-onboard RAID of course, but can be found for more around $150 and has the same basic features of KG7(RAID).

As far IWill's DDR boards? Well i've only seen one, KA266, and that is a board to stay away from. MAGiK isn't the most stable chipset around and often isn't as high performing as 760, it should be avioded.

Actually, the MAGiK chipset is very stable, it just doesn't perform nearly as well as the AMD 760.

For a DDR overclocking board I'd have to say the Epox 8K7A. The MSI K7 Master might also be good. Both are based on the AMD760 chipset which is the best DDR chipset available right now. I don't know how high you can get the FSB while using DDR SDRAM though. I'm not sure if it goes as high as PC133 can.
