What are the best STALKER mods? How does faikes v2.4 compare to ABC Inferno? I like how faikes has reskinned and created a ton of new weapons based on actual versions: rifles like the G36, FN2000, SVD, MP5, as well as various calibers for each; pistols like the 1911, USP, Beretta 92F; and they made silencers and scopes able to be attached to almost any weapon, and silencers actually make a difference as far as how the AI hears things. I also like how you can buy everything from the traders, so you actually have things to spend your money on. But it does make it a lot easier since you can rack up money and buy the best weapons and armors way earlier than you'd get them normally. How does ABC Inferno compare to this?

The upcoming version of ABC Inferno is the next big thing for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., it changes so many things that you could basically call it an expansion pack, and that ain't exaggeration believe me. The mod's author, namely 'russo' (over at the Oblivion-Lost.de forums) said that he's finalizing it, and that it should be ready before the end of this month.

Swat 4 - SSF Realism mod.

turns Swat 4 into more of an arcady shooter, things move much faster, weapons are supped up. Soft of defeats the whole Swat 4 being ultra realistic thing. But it's fun to blast baddies without worrying about penalties.

I usually don't like heavily modded games, because often I find the mod went too far, and introduces changes that I either don't like or which are just plain ridiculous. Instead I just install individual mods that change some aspect of the game, like the high res texture mod for Oblivion, or the repair mod for Stalker.

Are there any WWII mods for BF2? I know Forgotten Hope was in the works but not sure if it was ever released.
