Guys,

been doing some preliminary research towards the best DDR ram to get for my next box (AMD route)...it appears as if this is the best stuff:

http://www.corsairmicro.com/xms/xms_modules.html

now the question is..which is the FASTEST/best for overclockability as well?

i know that ram timings are improtant so for example the XMS CMX3200 low latency 2-2-2-6-t1 is a good choice but is it better than the
XMS3500 DDR Memory (2-3-3-7-T1)..

also what's this new *twinX* matched pair stuff. is it basically 2 XMS modules that run @ 400 mhz effectively together @ 2-2-2-6-T1?...then the question arises..is the first one better (3200LL 2-2-2-6-T1) or the second (2700LL 2-2-2-5-T1)

i sort of fell asleep @ the wheel when it comes to the fastest performing ram for the past few months...so enlighten me guys! What would be the best choice? i'm thinking the twinx 3200LL but is the premium deservant of the performance?

Corsair is not necessarily the best RAM rather the chips (Winbond) which they and others use...is the most reliable going right now

Interesting. So, which RAM do you recommend?

Depending on the BIOS and such, some nforce2 boards have problems booting with PC3500 memory and Corsair "Low Latency" memory out-of-box. I would choose the XMS PC3200 CAS2.

Unless guarenteed in writing by the Company... it's usually through trial and error. For Performance/Price i have had good luck with Kingston, Samsung, Winbond (ie.Twinmos and Generic), and even Crucial.

Indeed. TwinMos PC3200 is very good at about $57 at memoryx.net. But, i would say on average, Corsair XMS is the best overclocking memory.
