The best unkown games

Yeah, I've heard Riddick so many times. It also recieved a game of the year award which means it doesn't qualify. And so many sites listed it scoring 90+.


It's like when everybody was saying Vladimir Guerrero (when he was with the Expos) was the most underrated player to play the game. The thing is every baseball TV analyst and sport fan said he was the most underrated player. That is a contradiction because if everybody says this then can he really be underrated.

Yeah but noone ever tells you anything about the game and why its good. Dunno about you but ill never try any of the games mentioned unless theyre free or unless someone describes why theyre good.

Freespace 2 is freely available now. If you're into space combat games at all, it's a must-have. The graphics have also been heavily upgraded since the source code was released in 2002, and it still looks reasonably good by today's standards.

Sacrifice was excellent.

I love Jets'n'Guns. Neat little 20 dollar web download. A cool, fully customizable space jet, a CRAPLOAD of weapons, and plenty of missions. Reminds me of many NES and SNES space shooters, but with the variety and scope of a quality PC game. Its sort of like a side-scrolling version of Raptor: Call of the shadows, but for WinXP.

I didnt think it was that hard, a definite challenge but not what i would call insanely hard. I didnt play the first one either. The only reading i had to do was for the movers, i had no idea how effective torpedo frigates were against them, another thing i didnt get is why they would equip the largest and most important ship in the game (mothership) with crap all weapons. Suppose it mightve been too easy if it was uber from the start. Apart from that :thumbsup: good game!

One I recently picked up is called Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. I had remembered hearing some good things about it, and decided to get it. Lucky I did as it is very fun. It's somewhat similar to EVE-Online, for those who have played it. It's easier to get into than EVE though, not to mention it has a full single player campaign.
