:disgust: I read endless threads and reviews on the GOrb and decided it was a good solution for my C600 & P3V4X machine. Well it seemed to be quite OK while it was winter here in OZ but I always knew the real test would be in summer when the ambient room temps get to around 30C. I have only O'ced to 675 because anything over that and the temps get into the 50C's and that is unaceptable. Idle temps are good at around 34C with RAIN running but as soon as I get into a bit of serious gaming the temps are just way to high for my liking. I have two extra case fans a slot cooler and a Blue Orb on my MX card and still get high CPU temps. :| The crunch I heard when I put it on also gave me a fright and I have been reluctant to take it off and reseat it just i case It's not sitting perfectly flat on the die. It looks OK from side on and doesn't seem to be on an angle at all but I can't be 100% sure. I'd rather just get a better CPU cooler that won't be too heavy for my slot converter. So if anyone has a better CPU cooling solution for my setup I would be very interrested to hear from you.
And yes I did put a thin layer of thermal compound on it after I took the crap off that it came with.
