Here's what I found:
1) The Toys R Us special on the 23rd is $49 for the Dreamcast, and $49 for a special 3 pack bundle of 2K1 games. Yes, that means $99 for them together. The ad is very clear about this (don't have that ad in front of me, but I did check it out very carefully). The 3 pack bundle is put together by Toys R Us. I didn't see any there tonight, but they were unloading Dreamcast units while I was there. I'd guess that they unloaded 8 or so boxes (with 4 per box I believe). That makes around 30 units. This is a good deal for the $49 Dreamcast, if you don't want to get those sports games.
2) Toys R Us does in fact have $69 Sega Sports 2K1 units right now! Great deal, because you can get them now instead of waiting until Friday to get them from CC or KBToys. And it's a much better deal than the $49+$49 deal Toys R Us is advertising. I got mine tonight! My wife wanted to open it up, but I talked her into waiting for Christmas.
3) Stopped by CC. They only had 2 of the speakers I'm planning on picking up on Friday! Not good. Also, they didn't have the Laptop on display yet, but there was an empty spot on the Laptop area. I'm guessing they just haven't put it out yet (possibly to try to prevent interest in it, or prevent someone from getting one early). But I double-checked my ad, and the posted specs are what's listed in the ad. One other thing, XP is loaded on them (don't think that was mentioned earlier). The ad also definitely states "while supplies last" on that laptop. They're sure to go quick.
4) The CC ad states it is a 5 hour ad, from 7am - 12pm Friday. The items on that 5 hour special are:
Panasonic Digital Camcorder - $399 after $50 MIR
JVC VHS-C Camorder - $199 (No rebate)
Sony 900Mhz Phone w/ DAS - $39 (No rebate)
19" TV - $79 (No rebate)
Nike 32MB MP3 Player - $29 after $50 MIR
DVD/CD Player - $69.99 (No Rebate)
Classic Portable CD Player - $9.99 after $10 MIR
Kodac Digital Camera - $79.99 after $70 MIR
Maxell AA Batteries 20 PK - Free after $10 MIR (Only saw a few of these battery packs out too FYI)
All these items are "While They Last"
That's it. The rest of the ad should be Friday/Saturday, except the $9.99 CD's, which are Friday only. The only other "while they last" items are the freebies, the Laptop, the HP $549 computer package, the $29 Startac phone, the Palm Vx, 17" monitor for $79, the $49 VCR, $97 JVC CD player, the $179 Surround system, and $59 5 CD minisystem.
One last note, the "8-outlet surge protector" definitely has a picture of a 5 outlet surge protector. Since the SKU matches the 5 outlet one too, I'm guessing they boo-booed the 8. Bet on it being 5.
Finally, since I didn't see a CompUSA get posted, I'll begin typing that now....**Sigh** my poor fingers!
