To those colonies and territories which as a consequence of the late war have ceased to be under the sovereignty of the States which formerly governed them and which are inhabited by peoples not yet able to stand by themselves under the strenuous conditions of the modern world, there should be applied the principle that the well-being and development of such peoples form a sacred trust of civilisation and that securities for the performance of this trust should be embodied in this Covenant.

The Palestinian Territory became property of the British...

What you quoted says nothing of the sort.
Yes it does. You just don't want to recognize it for what it is. The British controlled Palestine and it was there's to do with as they saw fit. They envisioned making Palestine into a Jewish homeland and that's what happened. Trying to point to old documents doesn't change that fact.

Notice that my focus was on "names?" My comment was a response to your statement that "Not everyone is so fixated on such trival things as names."

I noticed ...[/quote]
No, I don't think you did. You're too stuck on being an obstinate fool to notice anything.

Why was it a mistake? The land wasn't even owned by the Arabs, it belonged to the Ottoman Turks. The British were too preoccupied by unrest in Ireland after WW1 to install Zionists in Israel. They attempted to let the Arabs govern themselves, but soon that was a mistake after many Arab rulers set themselves up as petty dictators, subscribing to Fascists doctrines.

The only mistakes being committed are those by Israel. They need to get a garbage grinder and start hacking away at Hamas from its roots.

Correct. I am correct. History backs me up. The Palsetinians were never given independence. They were offered it multiple times but declined because they'd rather play the victim than be responsible for themselves. Statehood demands responsibility and the Palestinians clearly don't want anything of the sort.
