this was inspired by an incident I witnessed at the deli this afternoon... I stopped by to pick up a sandwich before work, and a guy ahead of me tried to order a 12" ham sandwich on white bread. however, they were out of white bread.... the woman behind the counter offered him wheat bread or he could wait until the white bread finished cooking (they make their own rolls). the guy threw a total hissy fit.

personally, I prefer white bread, but I don't really hate any other type. I went through a potato bread phase during college, but it's really too heavy to eat on a regular basis.

Actually it would be rye for lunch and anything else for breakfast and dinner.

Eat whole grain dempsters. The one with sunflower seeds n other gunk in it. The label on the back (nutrional info) reads healthy so what the heck.

Use to love White, but my g/f has changed me over to Honey Wheat. Tastes just like white but apparently more healthy.

If you are addicted to refined flour, sugar, etc, this takes some getting used to... but if you like the taste of real, whole foods that haven't been chemically treated, you might try this:

Ezekiel Bread

My kids won't eat it but they do eat Pepperidge Farms Soft Oatmeal Bread, which isn't as bad for you as white is.

White bread, most of the time. Wheat toast is good over breakfast with some eggs and coffee though.
