I failed. Does this mean I'm a replicant or a human ?

Kingston 500GB $59 til Fri at newegg.
assuming your mb has a m.2 slot... why not get nvme at this price?I like the Silicon Powered. Has Cache ? They work.
Most people dont need NVME speeds and or the "hassle" of installing one. Sata are plug and play for the average folks.
It (kind of) requires three or four hands. One to hold the screwdriver, one to hold the NVMe in place, one to hold the magnifying glass so that you don't lose the screw, one to hold the screw, etc.Wait, there's a hassle to installing NVME? I was considering that for my next SSD but don't want a 'hassle'.
A magnetic tip screwdriver makes all the difference (just like it does when putting screws into the motherboard standoffs. Otherwise, it can be tricky. It (kind of) requires three or four hands. It CAN be a bit of a PITA, the attachment screw is VERY tiny.
Id put $5000 on you never installing an NVME drive. The "hassle" lol.... responding to this post is a hassle. The linked SSD is a normal Sata SSD.

u know we're computer geeks in here right, if we had new parts to install and play with, i'd install that motherboard with a pen if i had toA magnetic tip screwdriver makes all the difference (just like it does when putting screws into the motherboard standoffs. Otherwise, it can be tricky.
i bet yours is tinier than mineIt (kind of) requires three or four hands. One to hold the screwdriver, one to hold the NVMe in place, one to hold the magnifying glass so that you don't lose the screw, one to hold the screw, etc.

Hmm. With a "pen", really? DId you happen to star in a Verge video about PC building, by any chance?u know we're computer geeks in here right, if we had new parts to install and play with, i'd install that motherboard with a pen if i had to

Oh, I know.
I've done plenty of computer builds even when I had to use a regular screwdriver. Although I admit there are a whole lot less F* bombs when I take the time to have all the proper tools at hand. Not having to fish out tiny screws that always seem to fall into the worst areas is nice.
*F = fantastic bombs

I have installed several and they are trivial. The only PIA is when the mb has it on the back and you have to take the motherboard out to add one after system is setup or replace. Not sure if itx boards are still putting them on the back; but they were the last time i needed a new mb. Btw there are two types of nvme - pcie cards and m.2 - pcie are of course a lot easier to install because they aren't on the back of the mb
-
Btw you want a pia try mucking with a wireless adapter for a nuc. The actual m.2 adapter is fine those antenna wires can be a bit of a pia.
-
Anyway i have a few older systems i have to muck with (parents pentinum pc); so for those sata are a lot easier to deal with since they don't have m.2 slots.
bro... i wasn't the one saying that installing an NVME drive is a "hassle". oh wait maybe i did?

No craig. The "hassle" is dealing with the reported posts, that were made, in addition to the name calling.I think the moderator doesn't appreciate the hassle.
