That's not the only one on sale, try changing the capacity selector. Choosing MLC instead of TLC shows some bargains, but I don't know if it's my web browser or their page, because an oddly-stretched image eventually shows up over where the product price, selectors, and "Add to Cart" normally shows up, so you can't order any of the MLC models.
I'm using firefox and when I change to mlc I see the same messed up page as you do.

Ok, now I'm on Windows 10 Home 64-bit, with Waterfox 64-bit 46.0.1 (I think), without NoScript, and I can select the MLC options just fine.

They have the MLC 60GB for $28.99, the MLC 120GB for $37.99, and the MLC 240GB for $59.99. No MLC 480 or 960GB models available.

NeweggFlash

$5 cheaper than Newegg @ NeweggFlash. Generally, NeweggFlash sales are for a limited time only.

Now at Newegg, in Thursday's sale flyer, for $34.99 FS:

crucial bx200 240gb for $60 at the egg shocker for today.

That's a good price for a mediocre drive. It's TLC, but it's one of the slowest TLC drives, as I understand it. Haven't heard anything bad about reliability and that particular drive though. (As in failures.)

But don't take my word for it, look up the AT review. There might be a relevant LegitReviews review too.

Upon a closer look, I believe that might be a fake capacity SSD. Only two NAND packages populated for a 512GB drive? That poor 4K QD32 read score?

Look at some of the benchmarks in this thread. Something is clearly wrong with the 512GB drive mentioned in the blog link. I think it's really a 32GB drive.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2467389&page=2

Edit: I guess I'm wrong. You actually can fit 256GB into one NAND package, through die stacking.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/micron-3d-nand-intel-xpoint,32116.html
To put this in perspective, NAND vendors can stack up to 16 NAND die in a single package (two-die MX300 package pictured above), so Gen 2 IMFT 3D NAND can cram in 1 TB of MLC NAND per package and up to 1,563 GB (1.5 TB) per TLC package. This increased density will enable beefy storage in mobile applications, such as phones and tablets, and unlock 10 TB 2.5" 7mm SSDs (or 6 TB M.2 SSDs).

I saw that myself and was surprised to see the low read scores. But look how high the Sequential write is....if it was 32GB it wouldn't be that high.

Maybe this is an example of what lack of DRAM does to reads? See the following two examples below:

1.)
According to the Tom's test of Sandisk Z400s (which uses SM2246XT), the lack of DRAM does a play a role at high queue depths for 4K read:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews...6-3.html?_ga=1.164490619.552404762.1465083782

Any operation involving random data is slow on the Z400s. SanDisk's 15nm MLC flash can't make up for the lack of high-speed DRAM, even compared to TLC-based SSDs. At low queue depths, where performance really matters, the Z400s isn't that much slower than the 120GB SP550, though.

2.)
http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/6924/patriot-blaze-120gb-low-cost-ssd-review/index.html

Here were the results of the sequential read:

Notice only the Phison S9 drives (Patriot Blaze and Patriot Torch) are the ones with variation in min, average, and maximum read speeds. Here is what tweak town wrote about that:

The Blaze 120GB was unable to read sequential data at a consistent pace in our test. The Torch 120GB was the same way when we tested it. I think the lack of a DRAM buffer to cache the table data played a role in the wide separation between minimum and maximum performance.

I'd like to know more about the longevity of the S55 because the Newegg reviews got me nervous. Each SSD has its share of negative reviews but I've never seen so many die either within a day of installation or within 3 months. If it lasts for a good long while I'd rate it a good buy because it could probably maintain better sequential writes than its direct competitor SP550.

Maybe that KingSpec drive has a firmware issue?

Maybe it was installed in IDE mode, and not AHCI? Still, even for IDE mode, that's kind of low. I have a 30GB OCZ SATAII drive connected to an A4-3420 FM1 APU overclocked 12%, and it scores higher on 4K QD32, even in IDE mode.

Edit: See my edited post. Per TH article, apparently, through die stacking, you can fit 256GB per NAND package, easily.

Corsair Force LS 120GB MLC SATA6G 2.5" SSD *REFURB*

Newegg

$29.99 FS

I've bought these before, and haven't had any particular problems with mine. Some people apparently have, though, as these only have three eggs at Newegg.

If there are not a huge amount of reviews, you should read them.
Some of them are dumb like "newegg got it to me overnight, 5 stars" or "it was late, one star" or "DOA, one star." None of these are relevant to what we want to see in a review.

I'm going to have to nominate this feed for HD thread of the decade

That Zotac MLC 240 looks interesting, how does it compare to the PNY CS1211? I am curious because Newegg must have depleted stock of the discontinued 1211 because the 240 is now $110 I got it less than a week before that for $60.

I've got two of the 240GB Zotac SSDs incoming. Btw, BestBuy often has the PNY SSDs on a fairly reasonable average sale price. (CS1111, 120GB for $40, 240GB for $60, 480GB for $120, etc.)

They also occasionally put the newer CS2211 on sale too, cheaper than Newegg (but not as cheap as the CS1111 drives).

Their prices on the Kingston V300 drives are horrible, though. Last time I looked, they wanted like $100 for the 240GB V300. Ouch!

That's awesome, thanks! I have been interested in playing with the 2211. If the Zotac is anywhere near as good as its reviews, I regret getting the 1211
