This is a good drive. (BX100 clone, trust me, that's a Good Thing.) I have two of them, and thus far, they've both worked perfectly.

$72.99 is a decent price for a 240GB drive these days. (Sadly - I remember buying mine for $60 shipped from BestBuy's ebay site.)

Great find, but OOS at that price/with that coupon now. It showed up when I first opened the page, but after just the few minutes I took to check reviews elsewhere, it was gone... So either there weren't very many available at that price, or someone posted it on Slickdeals and a ton of people who had no idea what they were even buying scooped them all up because... addiction. /

As noted in the OP, the lower price was after a -$20 automagic coupon from Adata itself as the seller... Adata isn't currently listed among the sellers, which I assume is Rakuten's way of indicating that it went OOS from that specific seller.

That makes sense, so their stock seems to be fluctuating in and out, curious to see if the order will show up for me... They charged my card, but no shipping info yet.

Newegg has a Mushkin 1TB for 245, but that's not really a 'spectacular' price given what camelcamelcamel reports. Also, not sure if those ECO drives are garbage or not, so may not be worth investigating.

I have one in my laptop. No problems so far. I use half of it for Linux and the other half to store data which I don't want on my m2.

I'm thinking of picking up a 1tb crucial ssd from microcenter but it's $276. Haven't seen 1tb go below the $250 mark lately.

I seen a lot of sales on the Samsung 850 evo just recently. It had been priced the lowest I have seen in a while. Makes me wonder if a new version is coming out. I am deciding if I should get one now or wait.

Well the question you have to ask is what would a new model offer that makes it worth potential extra cost. It is presumptious on my part that it would cost more. While a new drive might offer more durability and faster performance I have my doubts (esp in sata form factor) since speed is pretty good for sata (nvme might be faster but then you have the 960 pro); as for durabiity then it begins to compete against the pro line. Not sure what we will see.

Btw for those of you with one local - micro center has the 500GB 850 evo for $149 (plus tax) - read conditions.

Btw newegg does have the 500GB on their website but it is $169 (with promo code). Still wonder why they offer the item cheaper on ebay - doesn't it cost them more to sell it via ebay ?
