You HAVE to be kidding me. You do realise these songs are cheesy pop?
Underworld - Cowgirl
Orbital - Halcyon + on + on
The Chemical Brothers - The Private Psychadelic Reel
Aphex Twin - Xtal
The Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea
BT - Flaming June
All candidates.

Eiffel 65 - Blue
Around the World
Blue Monday
Robert Miles - Children
4 Strings - Diving
Becky Bealing (?) - Heaven is a place on Earth
Cafe del Mar - Energy 52
Though for a number 1 spot, Better Off Alone probably takes it.

I wouldn't call 1999 classic...
New Order has been around since the late 70's early 80's...never really thought of them as techno..
same with ATB...that's not techno...

I was never a huge fan of them, but he brought date in to it, when people posted 'classic' techno from the same time period.

I am laughing seeing the replies in here, since about 99% is far from being techno.
Techno is actually a specific electronica genre, not the entire electronica genre.
That being said, i am not much of a techno expert, but i do know my trance
