The CLASSIC Techno Song?

How can you guys say that 1990's techno is classic? Besides, half of the stuff you are mentioning is trance / club house type stuff.

I absolutely cannot believe no one has said SONIQUE - IT FEELS SO GOOD yet!!!! I spent my senior year in high school doing ecstacy and tripping balls with that song in the background. No song brings back the memories and feelings of staying up all night with my friends like that one. And, I remember hating that song.. Now, when I hear it, I get the chills. (good chills)

Also, IMO, there's two kinds of techno.. techno without vocals and techno with vocals. Techno with vocals >> techno without vocals.

There's also some other really good songs we listened to.. but we always listened to them on bootleg cds that were ripped by random djs into one continuous mix non-stop. So, I don't remember most of them.

Again, how can most of these songs be considered classics when they aren't even 5 years old? When I was growing up, classics were songs that were at 20 years old. They'll need to stand the test of time.

As most everyone does, your confusing the word techno. Assuming it covers all forms of electronic music or something. With most of the tracks you have in this poll, you should have said

"Cheesiest Pop Trance Track"

Or really you could of just said EDM, as in electronic dance music. Or just said your favorite Electronic track, out of these. Not a single track on this poll fits under the genre "techno". But then again, I'm used to everyone making this mistake.

sandstorm was the first that i heard and recognized as techno. of course, im not nearly as old as most people on here, so its probably not THE 'classic"
