Apparently, checking in on old forums. It's gotten bad.

But, really, I was trying to find out if any new CPUs were going to be released anytime soon. Thinking of building a new system - still on an i7-4770 from when I was in college... graphics card has been changed out a few times though. Kinda tired of this glitch I've had to deal with for years where my system will only sometimes come out of sleep. Have to hard reboot it about 50/50.

Started working from home, now I can be a real hermit! Still need to go in the office at some point though, they want at least one person there 24/7. So the 12h day/night guys will be working from the office. New schedule was setup to avoid too much back and forth so no need to keep moving our PCs and stuff. In a few weeks I'll be on mostly 12h shifts so I'll be in the office. Bonus is the more 12h shifts I work the more time off I get and the next schedule looks pretty awesome for me.

I bought myself 2 4k monitors to avoid having to dismantle my work setup, and I wanted 4k monitors at home anyway... So I redid my whole PC setup the other day to set those up and also move the KVM upstairs to plug the work PC in as my personal PCs are in the basement in my server rack.

Basically redid the cabling from scratch and raised it off the floor. Also labeled everything since the previous labels were all falling off so did not know what was what. Hopefully these ones stay.

Was up till almost 3am with some of the nice folks in the forums contributing to helping me piece together a nice little 3900x+32gb 3600+ X570 combo. When stimulus comes in,i plan on swapping to this from a 7700k. Was so temped by a cheap Z390 and a 9900k but i can't justify 4 less threads even if faster. Been down this road before between E8400/Q6600 owners. I was a Q6600 owner and well, the Q6600 is still usable with a sdd for basic things. The E8400? Prob best to punch a hole in it and use it as a keychain?

My wife is thinking going to the bathroom is a Herculian task, much less sleep. She's on a 5 to 9 day- 5 AM to 9 PM.

Yeah, kind did the same thing, but built a standing desk for my basement studio because I hate narrow desks. Mounted a TV next to it so I could watch the news while working. Added some upgrades since this picture

This came in the mail this morning.

Finally got around to installing it in the cabinet. It's the 3rd one on the right.

And gave it a test run after it was all installed and was good to go. I love the trash that the bad guys talk in this game, it's great.

Tested first player as well and all is good.

Been going for more walks lately as the weather is nice. Was even warm enough to not wear a coat today.

Upgraded my computer case, then tweaked the rgb. Got other goodies coming hopefully soon that will be rgb like 3900x stock cooler, trident z ram and a 3 pack of rgb strips that work with my ae-5 so i could run it all around the edges of the door like below . Replace rear fan with a cm 140mm that plugs into the cases main harness for rgb. Removed front filters and removed honey comb cover over 140mm spot. Need to put on other side of desk, had fan blowing into the old case prior so was better on left for that.

A thought occurred to me recently: There's gonna be a fuckload of movies, documentaries, video games, comics, novels, and original series that deal directly & indirectly with all of this.
The drama, pain, suffering, triumphs, losses, revelations, and even the indifferences of widespread panic and death.

2021 is probably going to be very entertaining.
