It appears corsair garuntees compatiblity of their VS memory Text does anyone have a link of how i can contact these guys to get memory that works?

Im having horrible issues with this memory on my new DFI Ultra-D, even with rediculously relaxed timings and underclocking, as well as overvolting. I have also tried the newest official BIOS.

If anyone has any advice on what I can do to rectify this, either getting working modules from corsair, or some kind of settings/bios adjustment im not looking at.

This is my 4th day troubleshooting this new setup

My other thread on this issue.

You never heard me recommend that crap.

Value ram starts here: http://www.newegg.com/OldVersion/app/Vi...Desc.asp?description=20-146-532&depa=0

Same as ballistix just not speed binned. And from the most compatable ram maker in the world. Toms did a ram mobo roundup and it was only ram that passed in all boards. Miserable failure rates for some well known companies. And from a company that will be around forever and like #1 OEM supplier.

Anyway enough of that. Load up "optimized settings" in BIOS. Next give ram 2.8 volts. Try and boot and pass mem test.

If that does'nt work change to 3-4-4-8 2T same volts. If that does'nt work RMA.

Oh man I just read that thread.. sorry to hear that seems like you tried everything any well versed person would. since it works fine inside your pentium board I'm leaning twards DFI being culprit, course I'd find someone that has some DDR to be sure and test out theory. Could be ram too.

I see you originally had "DRAM Drive Str - Auto" and have also tried it at "DRAM Drive Str - 1". Try it at some of the other odd numbers 3, 5, 7.

My OCZ memory did not like the Auto setting; it limited me to 260 MHz HTT. By setting it to "DRAM Drive Str - 6", I can get to 300 MHz HTT. OCZ likes stronger drive strengths of 6 or 8. Yours, I believe, needs to be set at one of the odd numbers for a "weak" DRAM Drive Str.

I'm also using the same RAM on my EPOX EP-9NPA+ without any issues..

Ran MEMTEST for 1 day straight with no errors.. Have 4 512MB's fully populating the board at 200 MHZ - Venice.

After flashing to a beta bios for "TCCD and other high latency memory" it is stable in memtest, prime, and 3dmark loops.

It appears to be resolved.

Sorry to say but if U got CVS and a DFI nF4 U didn't research enough... There is no-one that has knowledge about the DFI MoBo that recommends those sticks. there is a (Im guessing here) probably a 20-50% failiour rate on that comb. Sry man but U bought yourself a heap of problems. Goto DFI-Street and look in the signatures of the ppl there U will se that basically no-one that has a stable rig uses that RAM.

Either get a EPoX or some OCZ gold. And if U go for the new RAM method goto bleadingedge.com and talk to the OCZ guys there and thel be able to tell what batch U want.

weird that the DFI motherboard has issues with this RAM. Must be a BIOS problem.

I have 4 of the corsair value rams (4 x 512) at 2T on my EPOX 9NPA+ working rock solid (non overclocked). 9NPA+ SLI people are also using them with the same results..

Same Chipset, Same Processor (same embedded memory controller), different BIOS.. So must be the bios.

Does anyone know if this is strictly a DFI NF4 + Corsair VS ram issue, or if there could also be a problem with a DFI Nforce 2 + Corsair VS ram combo? The reason I ask is I have a moble Barton 2500+, a DFI Nfinity II, and 1 gig of Corsair Value Select that I cannot get to run stable at all.
