Story

The Florida police aren't releasing much in the way of details, apart from she is dead and they think it was suicide. Her identity isn't 100% confirmed either.


Anyone else immediately skeptical of that? She was looking at a possible long stay in the big house, so I'm sure many will immediately dismiss this news as her making the ultimate get-out-of-jail stunt - but I feel it's quite possible she was 'suicided' to keep her quiet. Can't have people trading politically damaging info for legal fees or book deals, right?

I seriously doubt Senator Vitter was the only one in D.C. using her services.

Cops aren't talking about the method, although they did say a note was left.

Funny how one of the services employees, former UMBC prof Brandy Britton, also committed suicide.

Yeah way too fishy to be a simple suicide in some tool shed. I'm sure the higher ups already called the local PD and told them to keep it simple and quiet. This is quite similar to Ken Lay's heart attack/and that other executive who supposedly aced himself in the car.

It's going to be awhile before we even know if there's a chance we'll actually learn what happened, but it will take more than a brief "official statement" to settle the obvious questions.

This sure as heck smells funny. Even if it was a legit suicide (which I doubt), this smells bad. My money would be on "offed to make sure no other big politician's names come out".

I'm wondering why she would do this in her mother's home. That doesn't sound like a reasonable thing for someone to do. I can understand her saying that she will not go back to jail and thinking that this is the answer and even wanting to see her mother one last time....

But if that is the case, someone that concerned about seeing their parent "one last time" wouldn't end it in their parent's home. They (I would think) would go to a hotel room or go for a drive or something.

My guess is a bunch of high profile customers all pitched in for an assassin. Not exactly 'The Guberment,' but definatly reeks of 'The Man.'

I admit it sounds fishy at first glance, but what the heck would be the point of killing her in a cover up attempt?

She wasn't a prostitute herself and I thought they'd already gotten all her records. It's her records that will harm you as a politician, and the comments/testimony of the actual prostitute(s).
