How big is Marion Cotillard's role?
as for the movie, Bruce wayne financed Bane's break out so he can kill him? full circle suicide except bruce changed his mind and willed himself to live?
Big thumbs up! I thought after all this time it might be a disappointment. Kinda wish the movie had subtitles because it was hard to pick up a lot of the dialogue, possibly just due to theater equipment though. I think they probably could have had the actor that payed Bane just speak instead of dubbing voice for him, it was kind of odd. And he sounded like Sean Connery. That's not what your mother said LAST NIGHT, Trebek!

Same, I have no idea what they are complaining about :\My cousin and brother had trouble understanding Bane but I understood everything he was saying.
I definitely preferred TDK--however, if the Joker had been in this one (as originally planned), I feel as though TDKR would hands-down be my favorite movie of the three.
explain
didnt he die in the last one?
Thoughts about JGL's character:First off, I don't think Nolan will be making anymore movies in this universe. He checked out so fantastically with this movie that it would be a shame to watch any thing come after this that wasn't as good as any of these three.
That said, I think the implication is that John Blake becomes Batman. The "Robin" comment was, IMHO, just a symbolic nod to the nature of his relationship with BW/Batman in this movie. He became a sidekick of sorts. I don't believe it was intended to be foreshadowing. That would be a little too cheesy for Nolan. It was just a nod to the fans, like the giant Crocs in the sewers comment.
One of running themes of the three movies was that Batman was just a symbol, it was never about who's under the masks. The ending implies that this is exactly what's going to happen.
Man. Thinking about that whole end sequence just gives me chills.
So I take it no more "Batman" movies from Warner Bros.? So if/when they do Batman in the future I wonder what company will produce it. Or does WB have rights to do other D.C. heroes like The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter for a future Justice League movie (live action, not cartoon).
I certainly hope not. I hate to be sensationalist, but IMO there is no way to improve on this trilogy. Of course, that wouldn't stop a movie studio but I'd at least hope they'd have the respect to not retell this story for at least another twenty years. Although I suppose they can just continue on where this one ended but it would be hard to match the tone/power/themes of these three without Nolan and Bale. And then if that's the case then what's the point of continuing the story at all? So the way I see it, there's really no where else to take the character. We really don't need Batman and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.
Just got back from a showing. I definitely think the Dark Knight was better. This was a really long movie and about 30 minutes of the middle could have been cut out.
I agree with others - Bane is very hard to understand. I think I caught half the things he said. He's not the only one though. Some of the characters were hard to hear too. It reminded me of the TV show "The Office" where every single episode had me replaying conversations with my DVR so I could catch their words.
In the comics, Robin is in the circus and his parents die (are killed?). Bruce takes him in (he's an orphan). There are a lot of parallels between the two characters. I am not sure if he'll become the new Batman or Robin.
One thing that confused me most was the jail. We are supposed to believe there is some government out there that built a jail underground. There are no guards and all the cell doors are open and you can roam around freely. I don't know how they get food and water. Anytime you feel like escaping, you go to a half naked body builder guy who puts a climbing rope around you then everyone emerges from their cell and they chant for you. If you don't make it, you come back down and try another day.
Ra's Al Ghul married the King's daughter (or some royalty) and the King found out and got mad and sent him to this prison but the wife took his place instead. She was with child. Ra's Al Ghul, the bad ass that he is, just agreed to this.
One day, the doctor forgot to lock her cell and all the prisoners swarmed in and killed her. Remember, this is a prison where the cell doors are regularly left open and people walk around freely (and peacefully, usually). For no reason they kill her.
Miranda is able to escape while her friend Bane (some random prisoner who took a liking to her), protected her at the expense of his face (?). The doctor, in this pit prison, was able to build him a special mask that keeps his pain at bay (like a morphine mask). Miranda (a 6 year old girl), runs through the desert and finds Ra's Al Ghul (who doesn't know she existed) and told him the horrors. He comes back and kills all the prisoners. No big deal. He never thought to come back before to rescue his wife.
