I really wish they'd do a Justice League movie, or bring back the cartoon. That was good stuff. Or a movie along the lines of the "Grayson" trailer that was made by a few film majors a few years ago, man that looked awesome!

BTW, I'm getting a little disappointed about how they are doing this "origins of whatever character" but then basing it in the present day. they did the same with "Casino Royale".

comics never really had set time lines, thus giving creative ability when it comes to everything.
cuz if you want to say it should be based in the time when the comic came out, look to blame the original batman movies for being in the wrong for being in the wrong.
considering all these characters take place in fictional depictions of our world, I don't see timelines being as much of an issue as you are making it. no one else really complains because its natural for the movie to appear to be set in the time it was created.

For "Batman Begins" you can get by with the different universe argument since there are differences, the person who kills Bruce Waynes parents jumping first to my mind. But for James Bond it really makes no sense since it is supposed to be the same universe, every movie up till the most recent has followed the same timeline, till you get to this one when you have Bond first becoming a double O in 2006 (2007?). either way, it takes something away from the movie IMO.

And as a matter of fact, yes, I would have preferred to see Tim Burton era Batman, his movies were by far the best. Then again, thats mostly due to the influence of Frank Miller and the "Dark Knight Returns" saga.

I actually wasn't a huge fan of the first series of batman, since while twisted like all Burton movies, just didn't feel right. Batman Begins, on the other hand, was brilliant.

Don't get me wrong, it was decent, I just loved the feel of the first one. I've always been a big fan of Tim Burton, and Michael Keaton and especially Jack Nickelson were brilliant. And who would think of having Prince do the soundtrack? Insane, but it worked.
