I've always hated Newegg's interface... I guess if you know exactly what you're looking for it's good, but not if you just want to browse.

As soon as they started advertizing "98% of orders placed ship the same day!" none of my orders every shipped the same day again.

I will always consider newegg.com when I need something fast. When there isn't a huge difference in price I will always go with them. I really like their feature that offers you rush shipping/processing for $2.99, they even refund the money if it doesnt get shipped the same day.
Only had to do one RMA with them in the last 4 years and it was painless. Also out of all the places I buy from, they package their orders the best. ZZF and Monarch frequently ship my HDs with poor packaging. Thank god my HDs survived so far.

hard to be the egg. zzf takes a day to process the order and it goes out the next day. newegg always ships the same day and i get it in 2 days anyways. newegg's interface is the best in the business. and i like the reviews. answer: it depends.

I was looking to buy a few items to finish a system the other day. I needed the CHEAPEST case I could possibly find and the quality and looks really weren't that big of a concern. I needed the cheapest ram with 2-2-2- timings and a GB of it. I also wanted a 300 watter FORTRON, SPARKLE, or rebadged fsp/sparkle PSU. Here's what I found on newegg...

I also looked on ZZF for the same conditions and many many many othe etailers. Actually just about all of the computer etailers I could find on resellerratings and pricewatch.

Newegg's cheapest ATX case with shipping factored in = $18.99 + $12.99 S/H for $31.98
Newegg's cheapest 1GB set (512x2) = $138.95 + Free S/H
Newegg's cheapest signle 512 mem sticks = $55 + $3.83 S/H or total of $117.66 for two
Newegg's cheapest PSU I can use to my specs above = $22.99 + $6.99 S/h for $29.98 total

TOTAL = $179.62 with the cheapest route with Newegg to fill my order.

Now let's look at ZZF who is the only etailer I found that lists everything to the specs I was looking for in my order as well. there was a grab bag assortment of other etailers that had one or two of the items I wanted but not all three and rarely even the ones they had were cheaper individually then ZZF or Newegg. I'll only list prices for ZZF since shipping is free on all items.

ZZF's cheapest ATX case with shipping factored in = $24.99
ZZF's cheapest 1GB set memory I wanted = $115
ZZF's cheapest 512MB single sticks if I bought 2 seperate sticks instead = $65
ZZF's cheapest PSU I wanted = $24.50

TOTAL = $164.49

Going with comparable items here.... the clear winner is ZZF when looking at the over all price right now for the order I want to place. The problem??? THEY ONLY HAVE THE MEMORY IN STOCK!!! So... I'm back to waiting around and looking for the items I want individuallys from different sites and trying to find the best price with shipping factored in for everything I want. It's a pain. If Newegg did what the USED to do which is to use only the highest shipping rate for multiple items on a single order. For me that would be $12.99 for the case. BAMM, I'd be ordering frmo newegg right now. Why? price would be the best again and the items I wanted would be in stock.

Ehhh,I guess you would mean a warehouse. Newegg doesn't "make" anything. They get it in and do all the photos in their in-house studios.

Oh brother. A couple more fanbois tools.

Here's a clue, tools. Put a $20.00 stick of memory in your NewEgg cart and go to check out. Shipping: $4.99. Add another stick in the quantity and update. Shipping: $9.98. Add a 3rd stick and update quantity. Shipping: $14.97... Get it?
Oh brother, another Newegg hater troll.

Here's a clue troll, When you add up the cost of items and the shipping at other e-tailers Newegg is still usually cheaper.
Just about to place an order:

Buy.com's free shipping is incredibly slow.

Nobody talked about speed of delivery.

It's not a fair comparison. At least make the shipping times equal.

At this point, I doubt Buy.com's shipping would cost $15, but still. It also looks like the Cruzer Micro is OOS at Buy.com

ZZF is better for me because Tennessee sales tax is 9.25%, which on my Hitachi 7200RPM notebook hdd would have been $10+ on TOP OF SHIPPING...aint no way...

Yeah, I hate ZZF's interface. I don't understand what the advantage of it is.

You gotta admit though.

Newegg even though more expensive, at least is willing to have a 1 year retail warranty. Plus the consideration of keeping such a high resellerrating, in which they compensate their customers for an issue made by the company themselves.
