I just use resellerratings or pricegrabber to find the lowest price for me, includes shipping costs too.

agreed.
I want to buy mouse from them $2.00
Shipping $4.00

I want to buy another mouse. $2.00
shipping $8.00

They charge you for shipping as if u were buying each item individually and having them shipped seperately. Buying bundles from them makes no difference.

OK so I didn't read all the posts but for those who didn't know ZipZoomFly and NewEgg are owned by the same company. As far as prices go NewEgg has always been just a little bit higher than where you could find it the cheapest, with the exception of some of their specials. As far as customer service you would be hard pressed to find a better retailer. I bought a DVD burner one day and NewEgg had a better drive by the same manufacturer at roughly the same price on their site the very next day. It was too late for me to cancel the order so I called customer service. I was told to refuse the package and I would be credited the full amount upon it's return, then just order the one I wanted. They were good to their word. They ship quickly, even though I much preferred Federal Express to UPS, and you don't get an e-mail days after ordering stating they didn't actually have the product you ordered. A lot of companies could learn a good lesson from NewEgg, Amazon and others who provide good customer service. I bought a DVD-RW from another on-line site recently only because NewEgg didn't have it in stock. After a shipping problem I discovered that the only way you could contact them now was through their forums. My last purchase from them even though the package did actually show up a day after it was shown to be delivered by UPS. In defense of the company it was a UPS error. But I still won't be buying from them again. Another company I had ordered the same drive from called me 5 days after my order to let me know they didn't have it, and then tried to get me to agree to buy a different drive. OK so NewEgg may not be as good as they have been in the past, so point us all to somewhere better. Methinks thou hast cast flowers upon their grave a little prematurely.

Oh brother. A couple more fanbois tools.

Here's a clue, tools. Put a $20.00 stick of memory in your NewEgg cart and go to check out. Shipping: $4.99. Add another stick in the quantity and update. Shipping: $9.98. Add a 3rd stick and update quantity. Shipping: $14.97... Get it?

Oh brother, another Newegg hater troll.

Here's a clue troll, When you add up the cost of items and the shipping at other e-tailers Newegg is still usually cheaper.

No they aren't.
Pick any five items.
Price them at Newegg.
Price them ay ZZF.
ZZF is cheaper, always.

Newegg's shipping is the deal killer. They may be a couple bucks cheaper in the cart, but you'll lose your ass on the shipping.

Newegg is my first Love and I still order from newegg.com, I do not might to pay few dollars extra to give me pace of mind. I never call newegg to follow up my orders, but I always follow up to call ZZF, Mmave or others to follow up my orders. I hate that!!!

That's NewEgg.com and ChiefValue.com, not ZZF.

I almost placed an order with Newegg earlier this week. When I saw how much shipping was going to be, I ordered from ZZF instead.

I quit using Newegg when they sent me a refurbished motherboard----advertised as "new" retail. They apparently have done this to a few peeps with this same board. What a shame.

Conehead433,

We appreciate your feedback and will do our best to improve Newegg so we can continue to offer the level of service to all our customers. We know there are many areas that we must improve and we are doing our best to address all of them.

I just wanted to confirm that Newegg and ZZF are not owned by the same company. =)

Thanks again for your feedback and for shopping with us.

Best,

Newegg VP

Yeah, Newegg has been good to me and I don't mind paying a little extra for the quality of service that I've gotten.

Though it does seem to be getting more and more pricey.

I haven't ordered anything online for a little over a year...always have used newegg.

I had to pay 8 bucks shipping for standard fedex (ups would've been 5...to hell with them though)

Regardless...I ordered at 2pm on the 27th, was shipped by that night and I received it today (the 29th before noon)

this is going from California to Columbus, Ohio....they still got it.

Moreover, even with shipping it was still cheapest price for the notebook hardrive I ordered.

Nowadays their pricing is mediocre (but MUCH better than WorstBuy/CrapUSA (in MOST cases, occasionally they have good deals and beat Newegg down, ex: 160GB HD at BestBuy for $50)

And WTF is with the Super Saving Deals that save you $4?

Not to be mean, but neither of those is anything new... I would watch for those and turn some bucks on ebay from them, sometimes enough to get another one of those cheap drives I don't even pay attention to the Deals of the Day on the main page anymore really, for that reason.

Never had an issue with the shipping prices, I will buy off the total price and not just the sticker tag... if NewEgg doesn't get my business then ZZF will, because between those two retailers it's been rare to find anything more than a couple $s cheaper elsewhere.

NewEgg also has bought a pair of billboards in Austin, TX, I saw those when I was driving through and thought I'd lost it for a minute there.

To quote Dailytech: "Newegg cleared over $1B USD in worldwide sales in 2005." Whomever keeps thinking Newegg is a garage-business is plain nuts... I think with the expected revenue and projections they can get away with a little advertising off the top...

This might be worth a read, appears NewEgg is going to expand to Europe, and already in the process of expanding into China. Newegg May Open Doors to Europe and other Regions THG also has a TGDaily article with some slightly different info.

Edit: Wow, I need to pay attention to the post dates a little more closely... :Q
