(5 * 140) + (2 * 5 * 165) + (2 * 4 * 195) + (4 * 3 * 210) = 6 430

385 546 + 6 430 = 391,976

*grabs training log*

3/13 - 230x2, 242x2 = 944
3/23 - 135*5 185*3 225*1 245*1 265*1*3 = 2495
3/26 - 245*1 265*1 285*1*4 = 1650
4/6 - 160*3 200*2 250*2 300*1*3 250*3 = 3030

391,976+944+2495+1650+3030 = 400,095

It won't be reached. It took this thread about a month to reach 500k. So two months for a million. Thousand million pounds = 2,000 months, which is 166 years.

Or we just need to get a helluva lot stronger, haha.

I'm sneaking a deadlift question in here.

I tried my first reps today after watching about 382 videos on youtube about form. At my gym, the plates that bring the bar up to the height off of the floor that I see in most instructional videos start at 45 lbs. With that weight (I don't know how much the bar weighs -- maybe 30? + 45 + 45 = 120 lbs), I could only do about 4 reps before being completely exhausted in the legs and having to end the set. If I drop the weight to smaller plates, the bar becomes awkwardly low to the ground. Is there some obvious solution to this that isn't occurring to me? Or should I just start with that low rep weight?

You probably shouldn't start with a weight where you will end up doing low reps. Next time try it with 25's or 35's on each side of the barbell. The trick is to put 10's on the ground and set the weights on the barbell on top of the 10's to give the barbell a height boost. A barbell normally weighs 45lbs btw.

Start lighter so you can get the form down and avoid injury. If your gym doesn't have bumper plates, which are all the same diameter regardless of weight, then you'll need to raise the bar up to accommodate the smaller plates. You can do this easily by placing blocks or plates under the barbell, similar to what is in this image.

Thanks, good ideas. I'll definitely go lighter when I try this again in a couple of days.

420930

+ BassBomb = 425930
