How many hours a week do you spend online? Judging from your posts, a lot. You can spend more in one night than you can on a month of Internet access. Nothing is free - ever. You want decent TV reception? Cable or sattelite sets you back $40 to $100 a month. Broadcasts, you say? Number one, you get sh!t quality reception, and #2, you get all of six channels. That would be like NetZero allowing you only access to MSN and Yahoo, but nothing else. That's not the way it worked. You can't compare broadcast TV to free Internet because the free Internet gave you access to everything paid Internet did. Since people kept on trying to circumvent advertising, and others didn't respond, how long did you think it was going to last?
Nothing is free - EVER. NetZero had huge bills to foot. They couldn't give you service for free that cost them money to provide.
ATT is like $5/mo I think, and there are still many providers at $10/mo. For two days a month, don't eat out fast food and pack your lunch. With the money you save you can foot the $10 that gives you 100+ hrs a month of online time.
Don't be a miser - Internet fees are one of the most efficient price/use ratios. For $10/mo you get 100+ hours of use, and I can't think of anything else that comes down to $.10/hr.
