Didn't look like too bad of a movie. It could do without Leonardo DiCaprio though..

its a scorsese movie, meaning at the least its going to be entertaining. he should have the academy and if he gets it for this movie, ill be happy that he finally got it but at the same time still feel slighted because it should've been in the bag with 'goodfellas'. damn 'dances with wolves'. costner's directorial debut and he hits it while martin has to sit there grin and bear it.

I'm definitely going to see it. Jack is one of my favorite actors and Leo is actually a very good actor in his own right. I guess you can blame Romeo and Juliet and Titanic for the crap he gets from men.

i haven't seen the american version but i will make this judgment now:

Infernal Affairs > The Departed

simply because The Departed is a remake. FYI Infernal Affairs actually had 3 parts (#2 is a prequel and #3 is a sequel) I highly doubt they will remake those as #3 to me was a convoluted mess and #2 was a prequel to give you more on the backstory. To me they're just milking the cash cow. It was a rare Hong Kong movie with great reviews back in 2001 or was it 2002 and just like Hollywood they decided to pump more sequels

meh thats not always true...i think the ending to "The Lake House" was better than the original Il Mare...

Infernal Affairs 2 sucked.

Great cast. I like Leonardo Dicaprio. I have gained much respect for him as an actor after I saw him in Catch me If You Can and Aviator. He was friggin great in those movies. As much as Titanic was overrated, he did a descent job in that movie as well. He's a legit, versaitile actor, and I look forward to his future work, including this one. Catchmeifyoucan and Aviator did a lot to improve his public image amongst males, hehe.

That said, I gotta watch the original "Infernal Affairs." All my friends say it's great. I have to watch it.

From the early rumours about the US version it sounded like Brad Pitt was going to be one of the main actors. I think it would have been cool to see him and maybe Colin Farrell battle it out on screen.
