PCgeek1 said their would be riots even if Chauvin was convicted.

Clearly he thinks little of us.

So how long before riots begin? I am being sarcastic for anyone that think i am serious.

No no no....

What you mean to say is "Mostly peaceful protests" Make sure to get it right.

And the answer is pretty much after nightfall.

Don't worry, everyone (including black-owned businesses) can surely easily afford their 2-5% deductibles when their stores are set on fire. It's for the better good!

I think riots are happening regardless because of other issues right now. People are going to give their justifications and interpretations as they see fit.

Fuck off traitor. Your response to this guilty verdict tells the world who you really are.

Quoting for the riots later tonight

Considering there are already riots still from Daunte Wright and others I doubt the verdict of guilty is changing things. I don't think the riots that are going to continue to occur will be based on a guilty verdict though.

I seriously doubt the riots caused the state to prosecute here. That is your opinion, and I am sure the opinions of others, but I highly doubt it.
Maybe I was not explicit enough but I think the specifics was regarding the Freddie Gray riots and not the Floyd ones.

The riots of Freddie Gray triggered the acceptance of bodycams, which was critical to providing a proper sequence and characterization of the events. These Floyd riots indeed might not have done much except get the other fellow cops charged since Mohamed Noor was prosecuted and sentenced prior.

You yourself tried to omit key information regarding the "angry" crowd. The footage the what and the why, and what was the cure for such anger, which was not administered.

I'm talking about the marches. Do you think guilty verdict would have happened absent the phone recordings. Ask yourself why?

There may not have been a conviction absent the video, but the video is not what you meant by "effort." So far as marches, I tend to think it was going to happen anyway. When I saw that video, I predicted then and there that a conviction was likely.

Thats why I posted earlier the reference to college - "Win or lose, we booze!" is basically what happens everytime.

That I give a shit about black owned businesses and their greater good to prosper?

Yes, yes it does tell you something about how you love to virtue signal online but do absolutely nothing to support the minorities you proclaim to defend.

Finally an outcome that makes sense, good riddance to a horrible cop. Important also to give massive kudos the LEOs who didn't lie for Chauvin. May this give others resolve.

I'm sure it will be appealed, but I don't care. All three. Good.

This part is a BIG deal, IMO! That probably went along way towards keeping the jury focused on the facts.

Fox news going with the spin that Chauvin may not have gotten a fair trial and Maxine Waters maybe influenced the jury.

Deplorables gonna deplorable.

This should have been an easy case. I'm glad the jurors served justice. All those who thought otherwise should take some time look inward and consider why.
Well I personally was concerned about a hung jury because it sure seemed a possibility that at least 1 juror would be unwilling to a hold a police officer accountable.

I’m glad to be proven wrong.

I think you got too much baggage going on here. This case here in no way had any basis in racial issues except for the race baiters and those that want it to be. The case highlights that cops continuing to use force past when a person has gone unresponsive is going to be found guilty under the law of a crime.

It's also going to be dependant on sentencing. I'll be extremely surprised (not to mention disappointed in humanity) if there are riots between then and now.

Guilty on all three charges. I'm a little surprised.

Yes and no. The 2DM statute in Minnesota is a bit strange. The issue is that Chauvin's continued use of force past when Floyd passed out was excessive force. That makes is an assault and one he was intentionally doing. I think the prosecution did a poor job of highlighting it, but the jury got it regardless. Chauvin's continued use of restraint, even if Floyd is dead at that point, is felony assault or attempted felony assault (attempted in the case Floyd died at that point when going unresponsive). 2DM in Minnesota is basically felony murder anywhere else and thus the outcome.

Cops do not only target black people. Anyone with vulnerabilities are a target for destruction.

Let me clarify, I was talking about those who thought what Chauvin did was ok.

So for someone who knows pretty much nothing about law, I am curious how being guilty of all 3 charges makes sense? How can you commit 2nd degree murder and manslaughter at the same time? Not that I disagree with the verdict, just curious how that is logically possible.
