And they are taking notes, and Donald Trump is taking notes, and one day this will be used to demonize democrats.... Joe Biden... I think that applies as much to the demonstrators as it does to the cops. A few assholes can always be exploited by even bigger assholes playing the outraged influencer game. I believe there was no ill intent. I believe he felt like he was doing what was necessary at the moment. That's why I said earlier that these cases have no winners. He believed he was doing his job. Floyd lost. Chauvin lost. Both of their families lost. The public lost.

No one should feel good about any portion of this. The more of these cases that happen, with or without convictions, the more difficult it will be to recruit and train officers. In that regard, we all lose.

THIS reminds me of the so many other instances where justice WAS NOT served. Juries refusing to convict white men, white men getting away with literally beating a black man to death, juries where the cop was always believed and set free. Think of the times when cameras were not available. MSNBC Maddow reminded us of the original official statement from Minneapolis law enforcement after Floyd's death. The official release was that George Floyd was engaged by police then Floyd suffered a "medical condition", then Floyd was rushed to the hospital where he "later" died of an "unknown" medical condition. And then.... we seen the video.

What I see coming, especially in republican controlled states, will be the banning of recording cell phone video when a cop is engaged in official duty. Where any recordings made by others, besides by the police themselves, will be inadmissible as evidence in court. That is coming, you can bet your taser on that.
