Which chick are we complaining about? The one that died or the one that killed Juno? Because the one that killed Juno was probably more bothered by the fact that Juno had an affair with her husband (thus explaining the necklace).

The other one had some right to be upset, and said her reasons, which was that Juno left her there to die. And she obviously had some sympathy for Sarah since she grabbed the necklace and realized what it was.

We're complaining that it was dumb to sneak up on someone that's swinging an ice ax at human sized creatures in a large cave. Juno also thought she was dead when she left. Was Juno supposed to carry her dead body away rather than try to escape?

We're also complaining that it was pretty harsh to stab a woman (who had just saved your life) in the leg to be eaten alive by those creatures because you think she had an affair with your husband. Also, this is something you wait to do until you're out of the cave rather than when there are dozens of creatures trying to kill you.

EDIT: I remember the elk, but it couldn't have been killed by other things/natural cause. I assumed the bones in the cave were human, not large animals.

I really regret bumping this thread again, but this movie sucked. It just made me nervous and irritated. I was just grossed out. Loud noises suddenly coming out of the silence are so lame.

I normally don't promote horror movies, just sometimes recommend a good one here or there. But damned if that wasn't one of the better horror movies I've seen... it really works and makes great use of claustrophobia.

bought in on Blu-Ray and watched on my 32" Sharp Aquos. if only I had a 60" or something along those lines to truly enjoy 1080p BDs. But 720p definitely is enjoyable. Sound was pretty good too. (hmm, and i enjoyed it even with the strong presence of black crush.. going to have my set calibrated soon)

I thought it was one of the better horror movies of late, although that's not saying a whole lot. Some really good things about it, some really lame things about it. One of the worst might be the alternate US ending. The non-US (original ending) was far better IMHO.

I watched the DVD and it had the 'unhappy' ending. How about this for a sequel: Sarah (the last chick) becomes insanely strong after her descent into madness and becomes the alpha dog and rules the cave crawlers. She mates with the male crawlers and creates a new generation of super crawlers.

Individually, the crawlers were not strong, so they may have to hunt at night to have a better chance. Their bat-like characteristics, like using echo-location, were mentioned in the movie. The problem with the theory is echo-location would suck at ground level. I think the movie is good enough that a few unexplained issues are forgivable.

This movie was made by a British director and didn't get churned out by Hollywood so it probably will be good.

I get scared watching the cheesiest of horror flicks but this is by far the "non-scariest" horror movie I've seen. I even got a few scares watching Scary Movie But I could predict every single scene in this movie, including the order in which the women would die (I mean, come on, what do you suppose happens to the hyperactive chick that rushes ahead of everyone else?). I kept hoping that some of the women would at least lose their clothes (or rip them off voluntarily...I dunno, perhaps to distract the creatures or something :shrugs; ) NOTHING! The only notable skin show was from the mom creature and unless you are into bestiality, that would really do nothing for you

4/10 because it helped pass a couple of hours sitting by myself in this motel room...onto Million Dollar Baby now...
