Question The Division 2 - anyone into it?

I pre-ordered it on PC to get access to the beta. ANyone else sniffing this game? The first one had so much potential hampered by a lack of content. Methinks they won't make the same mistake twice.

Understood, I'm on PC by the way. My weekends are usually busy as that's when I also spend time with the girlfriend. Regardless it's nice to play games like this with others as that's what makes them more enjoyable. Part of why when I had division 1 on PS4 I just stopped after doing a lot of stuff solo.

Better question is how is any multiplayer shooter game any different than the previous multiplayer shooter? The only difference is you have to use cover now compared to division 1, there is a better end game, and just more content in general. You aren't fighting for kills, they are never counted anywhere. You are fighting to take control of DC again by doing these random missions that award you items to upgrade your character, your different bases, and materials, etc.

If you played destiny it's just a looter shooter with some refined mechanics compared to the last game.

I enjoy it but I see how I eventually may get bored with it.

Only downside to the game is a bug that renders my Logitech headset useless ... devs are aware of it, and the solution for now is to stop the Logitech Gaming Service from running before you launch the game.

I used my g933 a bunch of times without issues. Although I'm not sure if people heard me or not. The headset volume and icon showed up in game. Perhaps it never worked. I have not played since last week so I'm not sure if it's been resolved.

I guess this is kinda like Rainbow Six meets Borderlands? I never played the Division 1, so this type of game is all new to me. I'm having fun so far; hopefully as the game progresses, there will be a more diverse gameplay loop with new abilities, enemies, and levels.

Yea, it retains the massive loot system of BL and infuses the cover system like Rainbow 6. I too never tried Div 1, so its quite new to me to play, and I avoid AAA titles at release like the plague. I wasn't even planning on playing it, as I was trying to sell off my key/code to whoever wanted it, but redeemed it the day before the game released. I'm up to level 6 and getting used to the run and gun style, but this game values cover IMMENSELY, so keep yourself behind cover in any firefight.

My username is Selayan on Ubisoft game launcher or whatever it's called. I got this one on PC with the intention to play with a few people because I played the division 1 solo on PS4. I like it better than the division 1 mainly due to all the activities and loot.

It's been really fun. I can't wait to get back on for a bit, but it's been a busy week.

Usually I avoid buying any AAA game immediately, since it usually makes better sense to just wait it out to pick up the GOTY edition with all the bugs ironed out for like half the price. But I had to keep up with the Jones's here, and went with something my gamer friends were playing.

I can totally see that no matter what you spec out, or what your gear is, you absolutely need to be behind cover. I kind of like that...this way no character is a bullet sponge. I also like how the AI and respawns threaten this...if you get flanked you really have to re-evaluate your situation. This works the other way as well, as sometimes you'll encounter a group of enemies fighting friendly forces with their backs or sides to you. But when you open up on them, they'll reposition.

The game is fun right now, and I think there's a lot of potential as well. Hopefully ubisoft realizes it.

Alright that's cool I'm only level 10 I think. Haven't had much time play since I've been on vacation but I've only done one or two story missions so far.

I played the Division 1 quite a bit. And was going to avoid this one. But a buddy bought it so I did as well. Glad I did as this is a way better game than The Division 1.

I hit lvl 30 last night, and it seems like DZ offers very little lately after the latest patch other than to piss off the vets, so I gifted a clanmate a key and I'm thinking I'm just going to start a new character and start over playing with him with both of us at lvl 1. I'm sure I'll be able to level up faster after learning what works and what doesn't work from my first play-thru.

Right now I'm stuck using a lvl21 M249B with a massive 120 round mag ... I can't stand the 30 and 45rd SMGs and other LMGs and I haven't found any M249s or M60s to replace my current one. I prefer to spray and pray at my age than try and make every shot count.

It’s pretty good. Maybe two weeks to get bored for me.

It might be just me but I think it has the most impressive graphics on PC right now. Level of detail as you approach the rope in the dark zone extraction helicopter is unbelievable. For me that is what keeps it immersive. Aliasing is nearly just gone. Those two things together make it very immersive even if the art style is debatable.


It isn’t the best at everything for example Metro exodus has the upper hand in lighting with ultra ray tracing but it’s textures are very disappointing. That breaks immersion for me.



Pretty much runs at 4K on a 2080ti with resolution scale set to 85 maxed out settings.

I've dumped about 500 hours into The Division 1 and played The Division 2 for about 30 hours until WT4. It's a great game and it's generally superior to The Division 1. The graphics are better, the mechanics are better, the activities are better, etc. But the endgame has some issues and the meta is pretty unstable so I've moved back to The Division 1 for now. Hopefully they'll iron everything out within several months or so.

Playing at 4K on a GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 on high settings and it runs quite well.

I've been playing the game since release. Up to WT5 and a GS around 490. I haven't been playing it all the time as RL issues comes into play, but my clan I'm with is gearing up for the Raid that unlocked after this weeks patch. My UPlay Gamer Tag is Sentrosi42. Look me up if you need help with any missions and such. I'm usually wandering around Washington DC unlocking checkpoints and such.
Oh and the rig I'm playing it on is the one below. Pretty solid but I also game at 1080p.

Been playing for a few weeks now. Wasn't sure it was going to keep my attention but it has so far. I'm end game with a 485-500 GS depending on what loadout I'm using. Switching from my lmg build to an ar build right now so farming again. Finally have decent enough builds now that I can solo heroic bounties. Haven't tried heroic missions yet though.

I started playing last night. It's enjoyable for sure, but damn, the whole apparel system is confusing to me still. Am I supposed to be deconstructing things to build other things, or is it generally best to just sell off the stuff that I no longer use?

I'm sure that it will become much more second nature eventually, but I find the system of modding weapons/armor/goggles/hats, etc. to be kinda clunky. Maybe it's just me? I stopped playing TF2 when it started to be all about the hats, etc. so it's probably just me.

You don't need to do any of that until end game. You'll constantly be getting new gear and the game doesn't get harder until the last world tier or so.

Maybe something change in the last few weeks, but even at the end, the crafting and gear system is pretty shallow. Once I got to GL 508, everything was a cake walk to solo and there wasn't much of a challenge.

Is probably an OK title, it just had enough bugs on my rig to put me off it for good.
