Damn, in order to cover up for Trump's blatant lies, I was mildly surprised to see that his supporters went directly to thread crapping instead of the usual excuses and denials.
But I guess Trump's lies are so egregious and so obviously indefensible, denials just weren't going to cut it. I also find it interesting to note that the more diverted his supporter's posts get, the more obvious it is that Trump's lies stand on their own "merit" as being exactly what they are, no two ways about it.
Trump is never going to admit that he got elected based on a whole lot of very loud and very blatant lies and I guess his supporters are never going to admit it either, seeing as if they would also be admitting that they got royally fooled into voting against their own best interests......again, and nobody would really like to do that, right?
It's also interesting to note that lies usually like to cover itself with more lies, but in Trump's case his lies are simply being ignored by himself and especially so, his own supporters. They're both living in a world built purely on the promises he made to his supporters that have obviously revealed themselves to be the big blatant lies that they are.Trump has moved on from them, and by his actions have admitted what he said were lies. Yet his supporters are either living in a world of painful denials or have accepted the fact that they voted for Trump based on those lies and just don't care.
Either way, there's no wiggle room around the facts of the matter. There's no denying it. Their Liar in Chief lied to them to get elected and he's going to lie to them every chance he gets to hide the fact that he is now in the process of stabbing them in the back and twisting that knife around for good measure.
To his supporter's credit, they have already convinced themselves that getting stabbed like that actually feels really really good.
I can't wait for the next few stabs Trump drives into their backs when he raises their taxes, lowers their wages and takes the social services and medical care they need away from them. That would REALLY feel good then, wouldn't it?
