I will say that I have been unable to update my gigabyte board to the most up to date BIOS. I am on P5 and P7 is the newest. It won recognize any of the newer BIOS's as legit

It has me thinking that I should get the MSI 65, I get 2 more sata6 and a USB bracket for the same price....

If you look at the OPs link the MSI P67A-GD65 is sold out again, but if you click on the product you can add it to cart. Not sure what this means but it may be sold out again or at least very close to it.

edit: false alarm, no longer said sold out by the time I got home

Just completed an order from newegg with a MSI P67A-GD65, 2500K, Crucial RealSSD C300 128gig (Sata6), CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB), Logitech G500 mouse and G510 keyboard, and a 1TB 7200 sata3 HD. Then forgot to add a CPU cooler. Ugh.

You can get the coolermaster Hyper 212 or w/e it is that's so popular comboed with the CPU for $8 off. At least I think it was the CPU but it could be combo with the motherboard.

Just ordered the same board too. I think it will work better for me than the Sabertooth.

The concensus is that if it's mainly for gaming the 2500k is already more than can be utilized right now. From what I read most gamers will be GPU limited if they weren't before. Plus the 2500k can reach a decent overclock anyway if you need more power for whatever reason.

2600k has hyperthreading, 2MB more cache, 100Mhz. If the first two matter to you, get the 2600k. They did for me for video encoding.

My friend received an email from newegg that b3 boards will be in stock soon. They asked him to return his previous one and he'll get a replacement.

My ASUS P8P67 was DOA so I'm returning that to Newegg and I picked up an MSI P67A-GD65. I did another build with the other P8P67 Mobo I had. I actually like the MSI board more.

I was pretty damn pissed with the ASUS board being DOA and the thought of not being able to get a replacement. I'm happily up and running with the MSI board and have nothing but positive results from MSI now across a few generations of CPUs.

I can't say that about Gigabyte or ASUS now.

I'm still waiting until the first or second week of april to build. Hoping newegg will have a large selection by then. I am tempted to try the ASRock Extreme 4 when it comes out. Anyone know what the cost was before the "recall"? I have built my last few builds with gigabyte but haven't had great luck with them. One ethernet port issue, one dead (think it was a surge so not really Gigabyte's fault), and one mysterious death. No DOA's just minor things I didn't like.

How is ASRock's quality in comparison to Asus/MSI/Gigabyte?
