The ASRock Extreme4 was $139 before. I returned mine already a while ago. It was a great board while I had it and am waiting for that to come back to Newegg's shelves. Plus they are automatically extending the warranty by a year on their B3 boards.

Cool thanks for the price info.

well the cheapest decent board i saw when i browsed is the UD3 by gigabyte i have seen some sigs with it on here sporting healthy OCs with the K cpus i believe it lacks the phase power feature and x8 x8 for gfx cards and i recall it selling for 120-140. Anything below this price point is essentially micro ATX, sucks i know. However if 139 for that ASRock is true then along with the feature set it should have the best value.

Newegg rocks, it shipped my Gigabyte p67a ud4 b3 with next day saver (advanced RMA).
I should hopefully have my board by tomorrow and I got my fingers crossed this new revision is more stable than the older boards.

Was it really $139? I generally saw it at $152 on Newegg (which is where I bought it).

I have been disappointed with the board so far and if this new revision is more of the same I will be avoiding Gigabyte for awhile. I know the ud7 is a great board
so why cant Gigabyte do the same for their ud4 model?
Anyway, I'll post an update after I test the new board.

I get the feeling that Newegg, Tiger Direct , Microcenter are seemingly peddling the low-end boards 1st.

Another assumption is that most of the mid to high end 1155 motherboards were 1st offered to early adopters of the P67 boards (on an exchange basis) prior to availability sales. Im not going to break down and buy a low end board. Within the next 7 days I suspect we will have more availability of products at most retail and online pc dealers.

I just ordered an ASRock P67 EXTREME6..

I'm usually one of the bone-heads that orders the wiz-bang boards when they first come out for $400, but I thought I would try out a something a bit more on the mainstream side this go-around.

I don't really consider a $200 board low end..... ya know?

Yeah, I consider budget/low end to be something less than $100. Being low end or budget however does not mean its a bad product. Just fewer features.

The exterme6 is suppose to be a nice board; but quite frankly I personally don't need any of the extras (over the extreme4) so unless it uses better capacitors or similar build issue I just assume go with the 4 (the extras seem to be raid; more ports; ; even more sata slots (12) vs (6); 18 phase vs 10 phase.

Also since the B3 boards have come out shipping is a bit higher on these; I think the extreme 4 was like $160 shipped prior to recall. Then again if microcenter gets the biostar xle in stock I might go that route; it is a 2 mile walk which isn't too bad.

Best comparison I've found Came from here

I need the extra SATA ports and it's supposed to have better caps. (Premium Gold Caps (2.5 x longer life time), 100% Japan-made high-quality Conductive Polymer Capacitors).

I haven't seen the Extreme4 anywhere yet, have you?

Yeah I was wrong, just looked up my old newegg order and the Asrock Extreme4 was $152.99. It was the Gigabyte UD3 that I bought before that that was cheaper at $129.

I just ordered the Extreme6 that is on Newegg now...bit more expensive but what the hell, would like my main machine back in action.

Just an fyi I ordered the Asrock originally because my cheapo Gigabyte UD3 had random lockup issues (confirmed finally be replacing it with the Asrock). I'm not saying that Gigabyte is a problem, in fact I usually stick with them, but this one board happened to have issues. The Asrock was such a nice board I decided to go with them again.

Also should point out the Extreme4 and 6 are the only 1155 boards I've seen that still have a floppy connector.

I know most dont care but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside having it there

But no IDE connector, and I have a ton of those drives....

I'm not into high-end boards (need PCI slots), but the Extreme6 actually looks like a bargain to me.

Hopefully the Pro3 arrives soon and is priced similar to before the recall.
