I guess im biased being a musician.
You're a retard.... Just because you don't like a style of music doesnt mean it's not music.
And that goes for everyone else who hates rap... get over it... you don't have to like every style of music... stop pissing on other people who do like it.
I for one grew up with rap music, and I like it... I happen to think Eminem is a damn good rapper, I didnt like his latest album... but I certainly don't want to see him dissapear because I'm always interested to see what he comes out with, it's usually fresh and interesting. Which is far more than I can say about the majority of modern music.
So stop your bitchin.... AKA STFU

Rapping is not music, it's noise. Billy Joel makes music, 'Eminem' and other 'rappers' make useless crap. Where's the talent involved in talking into a mic to a beat made by someone else? There's no talent there. Why anyone would waste their time listening to that garbage is beyond me.
Let me explain, MOST rap isn't a using a beat made by somebody else. I take it you're not a producer, and that you know very little *if anything* about the craft behind "making music" Billy Joel plays piano, which is simply pressing keys that produce different sounds. He combinds different combinations and creates a melody. Aside from actually using somebody elses beat, a hip-hop producer does the same thing. Which is arrange different notes to create a melody. I play Piano a little, and I sample a little. I can honestly say it's just as hard to string together a melody with samples as to bang them out on a piano. As for rap being garbage, it's hands down the most popular music form in the world (ever)
what other form of music dictates and influences things people who HATE it do? One good example, alot of trucks come with 20 inch rims from the dealership now, that's because of hip-hop. And I see people who would say the same thing you did, with bitg rims on their trucks. Weather you love or hate hip-hop, it's not going anywhere, if anything it's going to get bigger.
To look at it as "nothing but stolen beats" is way narrow minded.
