I watched episode 6 last night, and thought it was excellent! Easily one of my favorite episode so far through all 5 seasons. Great scenes with some of the best characters. Capone was awesome, Van Alden was awesome, Chalky and Narcisse both had great scenes. They finally provided some decent background info on Gillian.

I really like their casting choice for the new, young, 20-something Nucky. I don't think they could have found a better actor to portray a young Buscemi / Nucky. The kid nails it!

Yeah ep6 was pretty ridiculous. Really liked the Van Alden part, was less happy about the Chalky parts.

My only complaint about the 'young nucky' actor is his fucking teeth. They look comically oversized for his body and don't look like what Buchemi has at all. If those are his real teeth then apologies on my end of but if they're for the role, it's way overdone imo.

The Gillian stuff was interesting but honestly I don't give a shit about her storyline at all.

I'm with Drew on this one. I'm just watching it now because I want to see how it ends, organized crime from this era fascinates me, and the production values are high.

It's kind of sad watching it because you know that NO one is going to survive...

Maybe not no one, but I will be extremely surprised if Nucky lives.

It was fitting yeah but kind of unnecessary and really added nothing to the episode. In fact, I feel like that entire episode was pretty meh considering it's the second to last ever. We're back to this Gillian storyline that I don't give a shit about again :\

I wonder how they're going to wrap everything up in one episode... assuming Nucky will somehow get Gillian free so he can feel closure for what happened in the past with her. The Capone storyline we basically already know.

Considering how easy it was to just walk in and kill Maranzano I don't even really get why Luciano couldn't handle that himself and negate the entire need to keep Nucky alive to begin with. That and why did Luciano even let Will go? He totally had the upper hand there.

I thought Nucky was a historical figure but turns out he's a fictional character based on a guy. So anything could happen.

Was it ever said in the past that the Commodore liked little kids? I know he knocked up Gillian but I guess I just never put two and two together.

Apparently that was a stupid twist and 'everyone' knew the second he came on screen if you ask anyone on the internet.

I had no idea myself, but I didn't follow any forums/social media about the show at all.

great show. ending wasn't bad, could have been better IMO. i felt that the final season overall was pretty good, just rushed. it didn't ruin the overall feeling of the show like dexter's, or lost

Liked the ending. Wouldn't have guessed the kid was who he was. Didn't see it coming, but then again, not overly surprised with the end.

Yeap she would. Like I said, she's pretty much the only one that gets away (relatively) scot-free. Which is somewhat poetic, as the story starts with her getting shafted (husband murdered).

Season 5 as a whole was a disappointment, terrible writing, but this is what happens when you squeeze a normally 13 episode season into just 8. The time lapse between some episodes is actually disgusting. It leaves plot holes that take a whole episode just to fill. This is suppose to be about the rise of Lucky Luciano? Man hes barely there, and when he is there's nothing interesting. The flash backs are a joke, honestly, its just a filler to take up time. That 30 minutes spent on flashbacks could have been used to build up Lucky Luciano's organization. And don't get me started on the ending, they decide to go off the course of realism to allow that to happen?
