Damn, I hope things don't go too extreme on this front because I really don't want to lose out on cool content from Europe. Hard to say what's going to happen and how the websites will actually filter the content or just block everyone from Europe. I'm especially curious about twitch because some people think it's going to straight up block EU and European content creators which seems a bit ridiculous to me considering there's still two years to iron things out.
But Twitch will be liable for ALL the content their users do not get licenses for. And how will they know if the user is adhering to the terms of the license? Someone out there will make an indie game, a user will stream it, Twitch will be sued for it and lose in a European court. The ramifications of this certainty are not to be underestimated.

I don't think it's going to be normal if the EU can't watch esports... I think they'll have to find a better solution for sure or maybe make a separate platform just for esports. But twitch is also a big brand so they could definitely reach out to devs and work something out. Big streamers too
Twitch sets which games can and cannot be streamed. They could only allow streaming of games if the developer agrees. Their streamers would have to agree to only stream approved games. But that is a giant hassle.
