He has about 50 Pentium 90MHz.

A plethora of junk and a couple nice ones. A dually PPro 200, a dually and a single PPro Overdrives, a dually P2/400s just upgraded to P3/450s, a P3/450 oc'd to 504, a Celery 466, a dually P3/667s, a dually P3/933s, a P3-S/1.13, a P4/2.4, and a P4/2.53 that came online yesterday. Oh, and occasionally a couple p2/300 laptops. See my rigs - most are listed there.

Do they run by the amoutn of molecules, hits, cpu time, or jobs?

None of the above. They go by points of course. Points are figured by cpu time x cpu rating or somthing like that.

BCinSC - Now after seeing your list of rig I know how you caught up to me again. All I have on FAD is P3 450, P3 933, Athlon 700, Dual XP 1800+, and PM 1.5.

There is a mix of 40 or so 2400XPs 3 2400xps at 2800XP speed, 5 1700XPs, 2 1G Celery, 5 2.4G P4s HT, 1 dual 2400MP, 1 dual 2.8 xeon running gento. As soon as SETI 1 ends I am really thinking that FaD is where I will be.

I'm having a problem. Either the FAD site is down and not rec'v nor sending work, or my company has blocked the port. This client has been stalled for a couple days now. In the jobs I have 4 that say "Uploaded" and 2 that say "Finished". Whenever I hit the send or recv buttons, I get a "Connection Failure" error box. What's going on here?

Servers seem to be up - at least I'm able to send/receive. Your workplace may have blocked, but check the FAQ and see if anything can be done. And as much we appreciate the assistance, no one wants you to lose your job - some companies go off deep end when their resources are used for outside projects. Disable on work machines until you have official permission.

It's fine after a reboot, not sure why it did that.

BTW - No probs running here at work, been running SETI here for over 4 years. I'm an experienced DCer.

Seems the client is not automatically sending/recv work. I can seem to find a setting to do it automatically. Where is it? All my PC's have 24/7 internet connections.

EDIT - Is the "When online" the appropriate setting?

How many jobs do you keep queued? I don't ever want it to run out of work.

It'll pull more jobs if needed. Generally, set the CPU range appropriately and you'll be fine.

Has anyone seen any stats on what the AMD FX line will do in Fad?
