The GOP had their chance rid themselves of Trump. Now they can enjoy that shit sandwich.
Dip-shit FL voters made Rick Scott Governor TWICE despite the insurance Co he led, (Colombia healthcare) having to pay a truly astonishing $1.7 billion fine for filing fake medicare claims. Scott had to resign, but got a $310 million golden parachute. Meanwhile, Florida is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, few checks issued, and food banks seeing epic lines and running out of groceries.

Well at least it wasn't 2.1 billion.

In August 2014, the Inspector General’s office for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported that the original estimate for the cost of contracts associated with developing HealthCare.gov totaled $1.7 billion. In its own September 2014 investigation, Bloomberg Government, in an independent analysis, tallied the cost of the website at $2.1 billion.

It was also an over priced disaster.

But I do agree this is a clusterfuck at 77 million and should have been fixed years ago. I do not see where Trump was involved in this. Designed in 2011.
That $1.7 billion was for development work and data study across 5 years, this was a system that had to serve the entire country, not just one state. Trump is "involved" because he was Desantis's biggest supporter and spokesperson during the race for the governor's seat, multiple rallies were held, Ron D was Trumps "guy" and everyone knew it.

The blue-hairs here will vote GOP if Satan himself was on the ticket, I work with some young people, trying to get them interested enough in politics long enough to shut off Twitter/Facebook for 15 minutes is pretty much pointless. I could force my dog to watch Star Trek as well but it's about as pointless.

System was designed in 2011.... Not seeing Trump involved in 2011.

So what? Healthcare.gov works well enough today. It got fixed. That can't be said for Florida's unemployment site, nine years into it. Meanwhile, Trump & friends intend to Liberate! the South, no matter how many people have to die in the process. They seem to harbor the illusion that they can just burn their way thru it & it thru us so that the already ravaged economy will miraculously bounce back in time for the election & they can just ride their dishonest culture war to victory. Florida Man ain't skeered & he doesn't do exponents, anyway. Fuck Corona Virus. Fuck them blue hairs. Fuck your feelings, too. Hail Trump! He is our voice! He alone can fix it!

It's getting to the point that these people are so Machiavellian, that I would not put it past this admin that the virus will be rampant around November not by accident.

It's an interesting question how many of them will still be alive to vote in Nov & just how they'll feel about it when their contemporaries have been dying in droves. Florida has 4.4M seniors, 20.5% of the population & the lifestyles of many make them particularly vulnerable-

Yeh, I know the DailyMail is a rag.

Meanwhile in Georgia-

Here’s the deal. Kemp mandates restaurants reopen, whether I reopen dining rooms or not. I file for business interruption insurance, it does not go through since I am “allowed” to operate full capacity. My landlord can demand all their money, since I am allowed to fully operate. Furloughed staff that is collecting unemployment insurance have to come back to work or I have to let them go. Their unemployment insurance then goes on my tab.If things blow up again, they are still on my tab not on the states, since they are no longer employed. Guys, this is about screwing the working class and small business, not about helping us. Thank you so much to everyone that voted this malignant tumor into office.

I'm still skeptical the cult will ever turn on the Dear Leader.

Most of the cult won't budge. That is why they are a cult. Look at Jim Jones and Jonestown. He killed over 900 with his "koolaide" drink. I'm sure there were a few who were afraid and wanted out. For the majority they went right along with the plan. Because their leader told them to drink the "koolaide". How sick.

You have to keep in mind that many of Trumps supporters do not like politicians. They despise Democrats, but they also dislike most Republicans. Trump needs to worry about the many independents/undecided who will be voting in Nov.

Also, how many customers will truly want to visit any restaurant in Georgia with this going on? I feel for you. My parents were restaurant owners for 30 years. It was very difficult to run a successful restaurant before COVID-19. Good luck.

But at least the scary negro lady didn't win amirite? Fucking Georgia. God it's an embarrassment to be American these days.

Also fucking rent. My mom has a shop that has been closed for all of April by order of the state and the county but she still had to pay rent for that spot she can't legally open because it's non-essential. Not that she wanted to be open.

Damn it sucks to get a boot in the ass from the government at a time like this. I'm not going to sit in a restaurant dining room until there is either an effective vaccine that I have taken a month or two prior or an affordable and widespread treatment that we all have easy access to because I don't want to get COVID nor do I want to responsible for killing someone with COVID if they get it from me and I don't even know I have it, and ultimately life is the thing we should all value most.

I feel for restaurant owners, no way many can keep the lights on for pickup and delivery when margins are always pretty tight on food and the real money comes from alcohol, sodas, iced tea, etc that people aren't getting to go.

IMO, this is why it's so imprtant to pivot during situations like this. My buddy is a personal trainer who just opened his small gym 6 months before the outbreak. He has since started a private membership site online that has drawn in 20 members all paying him $60 a month. That's $1200 a month from just those 20 members. He has home workouts, meal prep, and even a COVID-19 action plan. lol, he's a smart guy.

This has been the Reich's wet dream come true, this virus has given them the means to accomplish these 2 goals they have had since the New Deal.

Sadly, that's not the case for the GOP. There is rampant disinformation and misinformation campaigning going on (coming from NRA-affiliated groups, and we know where they get their information) trying to mobilize more to protest state shutdowns. What effect will that have? It'll force businesses to open before customers realistically want to be out in public. The small businesses will be forced to pay wages with sales way down and will go under. More people will get COVID and die.

This smells like another Facebook/Twitter/Fox campaign (like before the 2016 election), engineered to sow discord and hurt Americans. May not be "direct" involvement but I think they've seen how easy it is to manipulate stupid people.

Kemp is the idiot who somehow did not know COV19 could be spread without the person spreading it showing any symptoms yet. Fucking dip-shit, 5th graders knew that before he could grasp it.

I need to wear that to Bill Miller (local fast food chain in San Antonio, Texas) since its douchebag owner is in Governor Abbott's Strike Force and is trying to get restaurant dining rooms opened in Texas.

people can't get unemployment benefits from a system designed not to deal out unemployment benefits that has been overseen by two of Trump's lap dogs and you don't see how that could cost Trump? Really?
