so if it is that much faster how come I hear of 440ppd totals??? Each of my cpu cores now are good for ~200ppd now.....

If it is running that much faster on same (comparable) workunits then it should be getting a lot mopre then 440ppd...more like 2000ppd...

I guess another question I had was if I should enter 256MB (GPU memory) or 2048MB (system memory) when setting up the GPU client?

I believe the reason for your system acting "sluggish" is b/c your card's 256 MBs of RAM. This issue is currently being discussed on the F@H forums here. As far as what to do w/ the setup, i can't help you at this minute

My temps are in the high 70's

i'd say if you are comfortable try push your card up to the 3D temps I've got *some* stuff in the op right now for cooling but i'd just do whereever your comfort lever is right now.

that's just how the points have been set for now. They points may change but remember, the points are on a x1900xt running in default mode. put the card into 3D mode and run at x1900xtx speeds and you ahve over 550. i know not a HUGE increase but that's what we have to work with now. They are testing the points system just as much as the client itself right now. if you would like to voice your opinion about this (which i highly encourage you to do) vist the F@H forums

Help ! Have directx9.0c installed, and the 6.5 cats. When I run the colsole, I get "this application failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found" And I can't manually find it. What the he$$ did I do wrong ?

did you try re-installing dx9? that is what yields the file...

I have directx9 installed on every computer in my house, and not one has this file "d3dx9_30.dll " which was the culprit. I found it on the internet and downloaded and now it works,but it also dies every 20 minutes...

I had to redownload DirectX even though I most definately had 9.0c. What do you mean that it dies?

hmmm. Well, after 20 minutes, I go back, I get the icon to resume, but the window isn;t running, only the cpu client (I do one CPU and the GPU, and it takes all 100% on my dual-core)

BTW, will this run under win2k ? I can;t download a new directx, as it says my XP client isn;t authentic.

And I've given it more than enough time to load.

I had several friends try it and they got the same thing also...a blank page.

Anywho Gleem, thanks for letting me know. I will see if I can figure out how to do that. If not, I may just edit my BIOS and change the deviceID to an X1900XT, then flash it over.

Actually, come to think of it...Rivatuner allows you to soft-change the deviceID of your card. I could easily do that, and it should work. I'll let you know when I get home

Not sure exactly what is causing it. Some speculate it's AtiTool not playing nice with current drivers. Another member on these forums got it to stop doing so by using an older driver set (6.2 Cats). I'm going to upgrade my ATT and try doing it from there with the 6.9's I'm using.

I get blank pages in the FF2 RC and in IE7. Conclusion: the site isn't working for some people, and I'm not sure that the problem is on our end.

Make sure you set the 3d voltages too.
