I finished my fist GPU unit (not sure the hours, but 16-20) 2711 0,270,0. Don't know the points though. Should know@ 10 tonight ?? All I know, is it takes 164 meg of memory, and the GPU + one CPU (+10% of the other)

Well for that update, I had 2 WU's for a total of 584 points, and one was the GPU or none... Pathetic. It didn;t even tell me how many points I completed like the other client !

And I've given it more than enough time to load.
I get blank pages in the FF2 RC and in IE7. Conclusion: the site isn't working for some people, and I'm not sure that the problem is on our end.

Same for me.

So...I've downloaded the client on my new computer. I'm running...:

CPU: Amd X2 4,200
GPU: Saphire Radeon X1900XT 256mb

Other note:

2gig corsair extreme DDr2-800
Mobo: Msn-Sli Delux
___

I have about....8 hours i can run full cpu but am hesistant to run full gpu (Loud- i sleep nearby my computer) and about 10 hours while i'm away during the day i can run full everything. I'm sort of confused though by all the options and wondering how to utulize my computer....Currently i'm not doing that great with only 600 points after 6ish days [One unit done]. I dont really care for points...But i'm assuming that means i havnt been using my potential to the fullest. any tips? Oh...and team 198 of course...

Earplugs.

I've been doing DC 24 / 7 with 4 PC's in my bedroom for nearly 8 years. Earplugs take a while to get used to, but they work.

From what I've read it's best to set processor affinity of one core to the process that's running on your GPU then use the remaining core for another process.

Kinslayer777: The best is to install 1 CPU and 1 GPU client. Just remember to set one client's machine IDs to "2". I presonally use the console GPU client w/ machine ID set to 2 and then a CPU GUI client. This works great on my X2.

there is no bundled version at this time.

you have to re-configure your GPU client using the FAH5.05beta1-console.exe -config command. one of the options will be to set the "machine id" set the value to "2"

The console client can seem intimidating at first, but it is really not that hard to use.

Download the console client into its own directory (folder). It is the program, not an installer. You will want to make a shortcut to that program first. To do this right click the executable and choose Create Shortcut. Now right click that new shortcut and select Properties. In the Target textbox, at the end of what is in there add a space and then "-local -forceasm -verbosity 9" without the quotes and click OK. The first time you double click this shortcut the program will enter config. Put your name exactly like you want and then team 198. You can probably answer the default to the next questions. When it asks you to enter advanced options answer yes, after several other questions it will give you the oportunity to change the MachineID from the default 1 to a 2. Every time you restart your computer you will have to start the console program. If you want it to start automatically copy the shortcut to the Startup folder in your Start menu or better yet configure the client to run as a service.

If you have any questions, please ask!

"The dual core client for those w/ Crossfire Setups"

That's just a client for crossfire and requires dual core too right?

There isnt any client for dual core/no crossfire and i should continue the seperate running right?
